Our first Hotel on our Honeymoon, and we were happily surprised. The service starting from the pre selection of room, based on our preferences to the lady at the front desk was good. The location is the cherry on the cake, everything is within a walking distance, whether it be the shopping or the landmarks for sightseeing(and i am an... More

A hotel located in the centre of Athens near the old part of the city. All interesting places are walking distance which is extremely convenientl in a city like Athens. The service was excellent and the staff combined the Greek hospitality with a high standard of professionalism that made our stay extremely pleasant. The decoration is modern and rather futuristic... New hotel is located in the center of the city and everything is nearby. The stuff is polite. The room is clean, has modern and minimal design, with cozy elements, such as wood. Breakfast is good enough, but everything was fresh and homemade.

staff fabulous from start to finish, welcoming and easy to get any advice from. Bedroom 301 was great for three of us sharing. Sheets and bed comfortable and great shower. Location great for all the sights. Only complaint was the noise of church bells and traffic ... Traffic didn't disturb us from sleeping but church bells woke us ...can't move... More

This hotel has focussed on design and from the outside it looks very normal however they have dine one a good job on the inside. The bed is comfortable and you get a balcony however you will not want to open your door due to the traffic noise. Staff are friendly and helpful and this is an ideal hotel if... More

We stayed at the New Hotel for two nights and truly enjoyed it. Modern vibe, interesting decor that we loved. The rooms are not huge, but they're a good size for a couple. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel in quite some time. Breakfast was delicious and the front desk staff were... More

What a lovely, unique, chic, ulta modern and stylish boutique hotel! It's rated as a 4* but the service and decor is definitely top class. It's approx 40 minutes by train from Athens International airport. The train station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and costs 7 euros per way, or 30 minutes in a taxi. It's central... More

My husband has stayed here a couple of times and really likes the hotel, so taking his recommendation, we booked for the three of us when we needed a place in Central Athens. The lobby is unique - lots of wood and metal give it an industrial feel. Check in was good, although a little complicated due to wanting an... More

What a refreshing experience! Went to Athens with another couple and expected to have fun with our friends but did not expect to enjoy the hotel and Athens as much as we did. Athens totally comes alive on Sundays and is such a great "hang"!!!! As for the new hotel, service was impeccable, rooms were small but had all you... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
