We stayed in a Junior Suite, with enough space for our group of 3 person. It has a living room with space for an extra bed. The room decoration is nice and has plenty of details. The only negative that we found is the open bathroom (no doors...). We tried the roof top restaurant for lunch, which is very good,... More

Stayed there for business reasons on a Friday night. The hotel is excellent, the rooms are very modern and he design is marvelous-the owner is a famous modern art collector- the breakfast is quite tasty and whole hotel smells fresh. But, it's on a cenral street by Syntagma square, right by a church, so you might have to listen to... More

This very modern and stunning hotel is centrally located in the Plaka region and is within walking distance to all the main attractions that you would want to visit. The hotel is modern and trendy with stunning rooms, well decorated with nice balconies. The breakfast was nice and had a good range. What makes this hotel special is its staff.... More

The hotel is located in the centre of the city two hundred meters from syntagma square. The rooms are not big enough but they are very well decorated. The beds are very comforablet. The breakfast is very goods do defenately you should taste the omelette which they cook as you like it. The only negative thing is the noise if... More

I have visited Athens twice and this is certainly one of the trendier and newer hotels in the city. The rooms were fairly small but that's the case with most European hotels. They were very "trendy" for European standards and very clean. We only stayed here for one night before leaving the city - we had 2-3 people max per... More

Beautiful, clean hotel. Great rooms. Very spacious. Good location - walking distance to the plaka and other tourist sites. Wide breakfast variety, great service. Will definitely book into this hotel when visiting Athens again.

Lovely hotel with very clean rooms - all with a little balcony. The decor is very chic and trendy - but homely and comfortable as well. The shower did overflow a little but we could manage ok with a bathmat down. The staff were great - super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really lovely - a great buffet and eggs... More

This is at least true! I d been at this Hotel just 2 days ago with my girlfriend. Our purpose of visit was to spend the New Year's Eve. Everything was more wonderful than expected. Starting from the staff all of them were so kind as to welcome you into their home. You could see the willingness and interest in... More

This was our fourth trip to beautiful Athens and when the hotel we usually stay in wasn't available decided to try the renovated New Hotel. Wasn't disappointed. Entire staff, from hotel to dining room, is professional and accommodating. Room was large and spacious, although the thin wall between commode area and bedroom/remainder of room area could be a turn-off for... More

We stayed here in late December 2015, a family of four. The best things about this hotel are its trendiness and location. it is five minutes' walk from Syntagma Square in one direction and ten minutes from Plaka in another. Everything from the chairs to the mirrors has been specifically designed and themed - one of our rooms had enlarged... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
