We arrived at the hotel after a very hot traipse through Athens and were so relieved to see two very smartly door staff hurry towards us and relieve us of our cases. That was the first of many good experiences at this hotel. Our honeymoon was a stay in Athens followed by a flight to Istanbul and a further stay... more

Lovely view of the Temple of Zeus from my room window. Very pleasant comfortable room. The girls on reception were alot more friendly than the men. Had a vastly over-priced not very good meal in the restaurant. Food from pool bar over-priced and little choice. Very difficult crossing the road from the hotel in the daytime - even when the... more

We had a very nice two day stay and overall were impressed by the comfortable feel of the hotel. The hotel apparently has been substantially renovated in recent years. We did not use the hotel restaurant except for the complimentary breakfast which was quite complete and varied. The pool patio area was comfortable and inviting. The only disappointment was that... more

Stayed for a weekend break and was hugely impressed with this 5* property. Firstly an excellent location, close to the Acropolis and the Plaka old town/shopping area. The hotel is recently refurbished and the management and staff seem to take enormous pride in the housekeeping of the public areas. It really is beautifully finished and maintained throughout. Our standard room... more

This fine hotel is really under-rated and should be ranked near the top. The location is a short walk from the Acropolis, 100 meters from a metro station, and many rooms have a perfect postcard view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Free internet at business center, flat screen TV, good restaurant (huge breakfast), excellent pool, and more than enough... more

Upon returning from Mykonos, I've decided to spend a few nites in Athens and check in this hotel. Location is very conveniently , a short distance walking to everything. Upon check in the room was upgraded to a deluxe and has a cool vista of the pool area. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant because it is suppose to... more

We arrived at 11.30 pm into Athens on the 21st of may. We really liked the room, it didnt have the view of the acropolis but that didnt matter at all, we had a nice view of the swimming pool. The acropolis , the temple of zeus were all walking distances from where our hotel was located. the hotel is... more

Hotel Royal Olympic - in the middle of all main attractions in the city - is almost a must stay hotel. Our flight was delayed and it was late night when we arrived at the hotel - but the hospitality of the front desk suddenly made us fresh! Rooms are beautifull - with an attached balcony - providing great view... more

The Royal Olympic Hotel is a decent hotel but is not a 5-star hotel by international standards . . . perhaps a 3 star at best. Maybe by Athens standards it is a 5 star. The mixed reviews of the Royal Olympic may result from inconsistency in the accommodations throughout the hotel. My guest room was on the second floor,... more

Me and my husband have just come back from our trip. Hotel has a fantastic location, you can walk to all the major sites in Athens, the furthest is prob 30mins walk...acropolis is 10mins walk away, First day we arrived, we had a room with twin beds overlooking the pool, we rang down to request a double bed, and they... more
