This was our first and last stop on our honeymoon. We stayed here the first night before we headed to the islands and the last night back from the islands. The hotel is on Charitos Street which is really "Haritos" on the map, just an FYI. It's small but very modern. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby, although... more

We stayed here on the beginning of our 3 week vacation, and we loved every minute of it. The location of this hotel is AMAZING you are right in the posh area of Athens and so close to many sites and great shopping. The three days we spent in Athens was much to short, we wished we could have stayed... more

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights at the Periscope in early June. The hotel is right in the centre of the Kolonaki district of Athens, which is where all the posh shops are but more importantly also home to a number of great bars and restaurants. It takes about 25 mins to stroll from the hotel to the... more

Stayed for three nights in the Penthouse at Periscope. Location was great, close to lots of bars and restaurants in Kolonaki and not far from the funicular to Lycabettos Hill. We walked everywhere, but there is a metro station within a few minutes. All the staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful, our room was huge and the... more

Periscope is in a great area: cafes, museums, shopping galore! Breakfast every morning is tasty! Most attractions are a good walk; for me, that's what I like. Take sidestreets and explore Athens on your way to wherever you're going!! Downside is the shower floods the bathroom (we found that at the Santorini hotel as well), it seems overpriced, especially with... more

let me start with the good points... clean rooms, lovely Korres toiletries, minimalistic, free dvd rental, UNBEATABLE location. bad points... tiny room considering we had been upgraded to a superior room (dont even want to think what the size of a standard room is like), very basic common areas. ask for a room facing Haritos str, the rooms that overlook... more

This is a contemporary, minimalist boutique hotel. The decor is elegant but rather monochromatic, nice use of black and white photographs on ceiling of rooms and elsewhere. The front desk staff are excellent, and the hotel is well located in a upmarket part of Athens. Rooms are well designed with one significant exception: the slope of the shower floor is... more

My husband and I stayed in the Penthouse Suite of Periscope Hotel for the first two nights of our honeymoon. We really enjoyed our stay there. I can't speak for the rest of the rooms/suites because I didn't see them, but the Penthouse Suite is pretty amazing. The interior of the suite is spacious, modern, and comfortable - you can... more

Everything about Periscope is 'OK' - neat, clean, equipped - and yet disappointing. There is no wow factor and some design points miss the mark. The compact rooms are a bit halls of residence-y with amateur photos on the walls. The periscope gimmick, a source of entertainment for a few minutes, does not compare with a rooftop bar, pool or... more
