My wife and I just finished another wonderful visit of 6 days at the St. George Lycabettus. The accomodations and service are wonderful, especially the guest services staff. The location is the best - with wonderful views of the Acropolis at both sunrise and sunset and nighttime lighting. Many excellent restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance in the... more

location was fine, though a major pain to explain to taxis. bottom line: this hotel is definitely NOT a 5-star hotel; more like a 2-3. you're better off at the Grand Bretagne. the rooms at Lycabettus are not very large, there are no drawers for your clothes, our air conditioner was broken and it took 2 days to move us,... more

I stayed at the St. George for a wedding last week and did not find that it warranted the 5-star rating it has. The views are stunning and the room size was decent for Europe but I found the staff to be cold, and indifferent. The bellman was not helpful and seemed to be put out that I asked him... more

Excellent service . I am a frequent traveller and this was one of the first experience that I felt staff were not only pleasant but took real pleasure in helping customers - with a real smile on their faces. The balcony restauant with views over the Acropolis is a must , as is the swimming pool on the hotel roof... more

Myself and a girlfriend decided to hook up for a big girly catch up in Athens and after checking out some design websites I opted for us to stay at the St George and I'm so glad I did. We both work extremely hard and wanted some chill time but also some fun in the evenings and the St George... more

I have been to Greece and Athens on numerous occasions, so this time, I decided to try the Kolonaki area - the hotel was beautiful, but the area was very Americanized - trying to find an authentic Greek restaurant near the hotel was impossible (though there was a nice Souvlaki take-out place nearby). The neighborhood was very pretentious and decked... more

I have stayed in Athens many times on business before, and in such a hot city you need an hour round the pool after work. Got back to the Hotel at 6pm, still 85 degree's outside. Went to the pool - Closed. They actually close it early twice weekly, so if you want a swim and some sun after work,... more

A litlle far from Plaka but a breathtaking view of Acropolis; kind of modern, mostly if you compare to other hotels in Greece; cool bar and restaurant. Good experience. more

Though the dollar is worth only half in the EU right now you can find a good deal at this 5 star hotel on Greek travel websites. And you can still eat cheap and enjoy all that Athens has to offer! The property is located in the Kolonaki area of Athens on Lycabettus Hill, a nice walk to Plaka, Syntagma... more

The hotel is very lovely and extremely well situated, as it offers wonderful vistas of Athens (though sadly, not from our room, so book in advance!. The experience was made all the more positive due excellent services provided by a knowledgeable, gracious and unflappable concierge staff, Violeta and Myrisini. Highly recommend the entire experience. more
