Location location location. Best place to stay to explore the city. You can walk everywhere. Luxury Hotel with breathtaking views from the Acropolis. Wonderful food, service, gym, Spa, everything was perfect. We had a two bedroom suite with a great balcony with views from the Acropolis. Best place to stay in Athens. Don't look anywhere else.

Just for a night over there and enjoyed every minute. The rooms very wonderful, the beds one of the best I have ever experienced. On the top you have a wonderful pool area, not very big but sunny with comfy sun beds. Amazing breakfast with view on the Acropolis, excellent quality of all food. All you need is on walking... I stay in about 50-60 hotels a year, and I can’t remember the last time someone asked me to pay for wi-fi access – certainly not in a so-called 5-star hotel, and certainly not in the last 5 years. When you’re paying over £300 a night for a “deluxe room” this is just ridiculous. OK so they did offer free... More

This hotel did not fall short in anyway. We arrived late from a long day of flying and check-in was quick and speedy. We even had a chance to have a drink on the roof top and enjoy the amazing views of the city and the acropolis. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean...perfect for a good nights sleep! The... We booked this hotel with our Cruise/land package. The bus delivered us from the port at 10 am and we were informed check-in would be at 3:00 and our luggage would be delivered to our rooms. After all day sightseeing we tried to check in at 4 only to be told due to the hotel being booked to capacity they... More

My family recently stayed here for three nights in two connecting luxury rooms (their great value second room half price family deal). We had an excellent time in a beautiful hotel. Our rooms were large and well furnished. The public areas had a timeless glamour which peaked in the atmospheric main bar (a favorite venue of the Greek political class).... More

We had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at this beautiful hotel in Athens. Words cannot express how wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff are. Hotel features and meals are exquisite. Views of the Acropolis ensure breakfast and dinner are a feature in itself.

Upon check-in to the hotel, they accommodated an early arrival. Unfortunately, our bags didn't make it to Athens but the hotel concierge accepted them from the airline and we received them upon arrival. The concierge was very helpful in recommending close local restaurants for dinner, the beds were comfortable, and the location of the hotel is very good. In the... More

We absolutely loved staying at the Grand Bretagne. This hotel is beautifully appointed, in a great location and the staff is wonderful. After an active day of sight-seeing, it was an oasis of luxury. We stayed on the 6th floor - butler service, with balconies facing the Acropolis (room 602 is by far the best) and it was a stunning... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
