I spend 4 days in this Hotel this past June 2015. The Location was fantastic but extremely expensive for what you get. Customer Service was average giving all the honours to the women that work there, the men at reception ?? You wouldn't crack a smile out of them for anything plus, they will NEVER volunteer to help anybody, contrary... More

We came here for the view of the Acropolis at night. The drinks were reasonable and the view was incredible. We did not eat here, but the restaurant was full so the food must be good. HIghly recommend for the view if nothing else.

We spent our last nite of our summer vacation here. The hotel location in the Plaka district is fantastic. It's convenient to shopping restaurants and outdoor cafes. View of Acropolis from the roof was also gorgeous. Downsides are the a/c in the room doesn't work great and the elevator is small, slow and often there's a wait.

This hotel is in the center of everything! You cannot beat the price to be in the heart of Plaka. The best of all, it's a couple minutes walk to shopping, Ermou Street. They have a lot of great restaurants within a few feet away. The hotel also includes a hearty and delicious breakfast. The staff too were very helpful... More

As soon as you enter the hotel you'll have reception greet you. They are very friendly and will give you tourists maps if you need it. This is a 6-7 floor hotel including an awesome rooftop patio with the best view of the Acropolis/Parthenon. From here you can also see a view of the sunset. Please note the rooftop closes... More

I stayed twice in Athens, and this last time I stayed at Plaka Hotel. The location is perfect, 50 m from Ermou Street, in the middle of the litte streets of Plaka, you can walk to Acropolis,to the Agora, to Monastiraki and Syntagma subway station, lots of good restaurants nearby. The room is big, clean, the beds are confortable, the... More

I stayed here for only a night but wish I had a bit longer. The location is perfect - easy to get to by train from the airport, surrounded by good shopping and plenty of excellent restaurants. The room was relatively basic but neat, tidy and very comfortable. I had a very early breakfast which looked pretty standard. You can... More

A small boutique hotel that's deservedly popular. It's in a great location close to Plaka and major shopping streets like Ermou. Close to transport links via Monistiraki. These days it commands higher prices in high season than you may want to pay. However it's often full so that says it all! Roof bar in high season with great Acropolis views.... More

This hotel is ideally situated for someone coming for a short trip to Athens and equally for a longer stay, mine was the latter. Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
