It's all a matter of reference point. If your reference point is The Four Seasons, you're going to be very disappointed in this hotel. It's somewhat tired and rife with oddities indicative of a hotel that doesn't have the resources to cater to the finer details. For example, though the picture shows nice furniture on the rooftop, most of the... More

We stayed two quick nights in Athens before leaving for the Greek Islands. Great hotel, central location, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff was wonderful with great recommendations for restaurants and tours. The included breakfast was also good. The view from the rooftop bar is not to be missed!

This hotel was easy to get to from public transit and is located in a convenient area of Athens. You could walk to many of the sights and the roof top deck has an amazing view of the Acropolis. Lots of shopping and great places to eat. I would highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Athens.

There are a lot of other hotels in Athens that would be better than the Plaka Hotel. But the Plaka Hotel is in the heart of Athens, only one minutes walk to the plaka, ermou, and monstiraki, it is a clean hotel, good rooms, good staff, there would not be too much more that I could ask for. I have... More

We were thrilled with our three night stay at Plaka Hotel. Our Acropolis view room was clean and comfortable. We were able to walk everywhere!! The staff were friendly and willing to help answer all of our questions. The rooftop area is fabulous - one evening we watched the sun set and then we were able to enjoy watching World... More

We were very happy with this hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful. The view from the rooftop is wonderful. We found the location so convenient for restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. The rooms are small and the elevator is slow but we had already factored that in so we really enjoyed our stay.

Dear maggiemay027, I deeply thank you for your review and for taking the time to share it on TA. It is true that the exact location of Plaka hotel is great, being next to the Acropolis and at the same time to have on your front door restaurants, sites and Ermou main shopping street. Thank you again. More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to the islands. It is in a very central location in the Plaka district close to shopping and restaurants and walking distance to the Acropolis. This hotel is right in Plaka. Heaps of places to eat close by. Walking distance to interesting places. Was great to sit on the rooftop at the bar and enjoy the view and enjoy the live music you can hear from close restaurants who have live music. Room was clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

The Plaka hotel was a great place to stay in Athens. We booked a room with an Acropolis view which made for fantastic viewing of the Acropolis, especially when beautifully lit up at night. This hotel was just right for me. Not too low-scale and not too up-scale. It had everything I needed as a single traveler. Clean, neat, and serviced everyday. Even was surprised with Welcome wine and desserts! Breakfast was good too! Pretty good variety of foods. It was near everything I wanted to see and close to all forms of transportation... More
