This was our first stay at the Plaka Hotel, as we usually stay at their sister hotel, the Hermes, just up the road. We had a two day business trip in April, but the Hermes was fully booked for the dates that we required, so they found us a room at the Plaka instead. We love the Hermes, having stayed... More

My partner and I stayed at the Plaka hotel for three nights around Christmas time (2013). It is located very centrally - walking distance from some key metro stations, close to a lot of places of historical interest, in the centre of the shopping district - both high street shopping as well as more traditional goods and very close to... We stayed at the Plaka Hotel for five nights, in a room with a view of the Acropolis. It was a fine choice. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast and a friendly lady who came around asking if you needed anything - although she was offering trips, this never felt forced and it came... More

What a fantastic hotel in the very best location. Lots of restaurants and tavernas of all kinds within walking distance as well as close to picturesque streets for souvenir shopping. The view from rooftop terrace is out of this world. Hotel spotless, staff friendly and extremely helpful and the breakfast is fresh, plentiful and varied to please any palate. Would... More

This hotel is in a beautiful location at the foot of the Acropolis. The view from the rooftop patio is great. That said, the single room I had was tiny. But it was clean and comfortable and the staff, especially Elsa in the bar, were very friendly and helpful. They made suggestions of things to do and places to go,... More

Staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The view from the upstairs terrace was the highlight of the stay at Plaka and is its best selling point. We went up at night and relaxed with a glass of wine on the cosy sofa and looked at the Acropolis lit up, amazing. The room was ok,... More

It was our last night in Greece. We had come and gone in and around Athens for 9 days. I wanted to make sure that our last night was someplace that we could look at the window and see the Acropolis. The Plaka Hotel promised just that and gave us just that. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Plaka Hotel in Athens. What a great hotel, in a great location, with very helpful staff. The PR lady (sorry but unsure of her name) is extremely friendly, caring and helpful. We don't think that there would be a better hotel in Athens to stay at and will definately return. We had... My adult daughter and I were in town for business and had an extra 2 days to tour the city prior to the conference. We chose this hotel due to the excellent comments from others and we could not agree more. We were able to come to the hotel early in the morning, as we arrived via a ferry from... More

Best part of it is its location which is next to ermou, monastiraki, plaka, thissio and syntagma square. The room was very nice and clean but the bed was a bit small and not very comfortable. Bathroom is nice and renovated. Good breakfast and a terrace on the 6th floor with lovely view (operates as a bar in the summer).... More
