This chic boutique hotel is a hidden gem tucked away on an unassuming shopping street frequented mainly by locals. Great location, just 20 minutes walk from Metro, close to upscale shopping in Kolonaki, and a short walk from Lycabettus Hill. Our room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning and a large bath tub. We especially... More

Probably I got already too used to Tripadvisor, so I expected more than we got but still the complaints are of minor nature to me. First the good things. Location: relatively central and as far as we could judge in a nice and quite area. (although we were in august where Athens is quiet). Room was clean and spacious (apparently... More

It's a very comfortable place, nice, new, clean... It is located in a quiet zone, but it's close to the subway and bus stop. I did not like that I was not able to use the hot tub, because "it was not working", I chose this hotel because of that but I was so tired (because it was the end... More

We stayed in what was considered an apartment. The room was decent enough to sleep in, and the bathroom was small yet pretty modern. The problem was with the service and the air conditioner. It was hot! The air wouldn't work. We had to call three times before someone came up and it still was never fixed. It was quite... More

We were quite happy with this hotel. I forgot how much we paid but I remember being happy with the price we got. Now on to the review Location: The train stop that we used for this was Panepistimio. From the train stop it was about 6 blocks all uphill. So carrying our bags up was a bit of a... More

We were on a summer study abroad program with our university. We stayed here for the month of June except for weekend excursions to various islands or historic sites. The kids got dorm rooms and the adults got this hotel. This hotel wasn’t lavish by any standards but was OK. The rate was very reasonable. The rooms were modern and... More

We were only here for one night but were really impressed by this budget hotel. It didn't feel budget at all and the rooftop restaurant was lovely! I can really recommend paying the 5euros for the breakfast buffet too, the selection was really great. The only downside to this place was that the aircon in our room was broken at... More

Staying in Exarchia

Neighborhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
