We stayed one night. Not many eating and drinking options nearby but enough for our stay. Offers wifi, continental breakfast, and hotel bar. Staff speaks English and was very helpful in using the metro, sightseeing options etc. Airport taxi ride was $55 euro at 4am. Extra charges for the early hour ride. The metro starts at 5am and taxi prices... More

The Athens Lotus was a choice we were given as part of a travel package and we were very happy with it. The room we had was typical by European standards but had a nicely-sized bathroom with a spacious shower which was a pleasant surprise. We had no view to speak of from the room, but truth be told we... More

We stayed in the LOTUS hotel for 5 nights in May, and found the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was located on the 4th floor and our room was fine, if not , a little bit small. The bathroom was small as well, but you must remember, it is an old building which has been renovated, so they only... More

The staff was very helpful and attentive. The hotel was average. WE had a family of six so we had two rooms. One room was in the new section of the hotel which was clean and new but not special at all. The second room was clean but with a basement feel so not particularly nice. We stayed only one... More

Clean, high-end décor, air-conditioned, good service, close to metro and sights. Great to come back to after a full day of sight-seeing. Neighborhood looks run-down with some fine graffiti, but I felt safe walking through it even at night. Lots of people are out at night dining or visiting. People are nice and helpful. I walked to all the sights... More

The staff were very friendly and even circled places on a map that we should go and see, and even eat. The hotel rooms were small but very clean. I wouldn't eat in their restaurant for a meal again (except for breakfast), but I would suggest searching the internet to find a good place (that's if they finally have their... More

Stayed for the night, the hotel was smaller than I thought. The staff are friendly. Took a taxi to the hotel, the place looked rough, but once we've reached the hotel, it wasn't that bad, plus the fare was only 6euro. later to found out that the hotel was just a few steps from a metro stop.

I was staying in this hotel for 4 nights. I got a promo rate for the single room and as a result I stayed, possibly, in the worst room of the hotel. Dark, in the corner, with the view to external stairs and inner yard.. Very depressive and claustrophobic experience. I was asking if it would be possible to change... More

I enjoyed my stay here! My hotelroom was beautiful and very clean. The hotel was very close to the metro station and the city of Athens. The staff was very kind!!! I only had a problem with the wifi, sometimes it just wouldn't connect, but above all I really had a good time here. Would definitely recommend it to others!

Many others have commented on the area. Although it is not a fashionable area, this does not mean it is unsafe. It is a working class area that has seen better times, but there is nothing to fear. As for the lack of local places to eat, those reviewers did not venture far. Turn left out of the hotel door... More
