The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and willing to serve us. From the roof of the hotel you could see parthenonas and enjoy your drink from the bar which unfortunately was open until 23:30. The location of the hotel is very good. If i visit Athens again for sure i will prefer to stay to the... More

As you've read by now, the location is one of the best you could possibly have in the centre of Athens. At night from the rooftop bar you get an awesome view of the Acropolis. The hotel is also walking distance from Monastiraki Square (10 mins). Walk a little further south (10 more mins) and you've reached the Acropolis! Now... More

This hotel itself was nice. The rooms were clean and AC worked well. It even stayed on when we had left the room which was great coming back to a cool room. The view from the roof is GORGEOUS! You have a 360 view of Athens with ruins and all! Breakfast is also very good. A nice selection and a... More

Overall this hotel was central, cute and clean, good for those on a budget. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Hard to find at first due to it being camouflaged with the fruit market and the rooftop has a very nice viewof the Acropolis . Would definitely stay here again.

Dear qf11, Thank you for recommending Athens Centre Square to the ones that wish to enjoy a more personal service, rich breakfast included in the rate and clean rooms. All that while being only 5 min walk from Plaka main square and few block away from the Acropolis. Hope to see you again. Kind regards, More

I just stayed for 1 night in the hotel for my way back to India after finishing Island tours. I arrived around 11.30 and they have a policy to check in at 1pm. They helped us to keepour luggage in the store room and helped us with the map to explore the streets and where you can find best coffees... More

We chose this hotel going by the reviews we read and because it is located at a walking distance from all the historic places which are a must see. But our experience was horrible. The entrance of this hotel is from a street food market and it is extremely chaotic and noisy. The food vendors were yelling on top of... More

We stayed at the ACSH for seven days. Our stay can be described with one word: EXECELLENT The staff were very welcoming and helpful - recommened us places to go eat and when to take the metro,. We had a room facing the market in front of the hotel, but we didn't notice any noise in the morning. Room was... More

Great hotel with a perfect location if you want to see the historical sites. The rooftop patio was an unexpected pleasure as it gave unobstructed views of the Acropolis, as was the generous buffet breakfast each morning. Recommended!

The location was amazing and safe. Literally located next to a farmers market. We were there for 3 nights and the front desk could not been more helpful. The best front desk experience I have ever had. The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast. Delicious! The reason this is not a 5 star review is that the walls are quite thin... More

A lovely, clean hotel in a great location, if not particularly clean location. My wife and I stayed here twice in a week with a trip to Santorini in between. We were able to store our suitcases at the hotel while we were away and also could have a very early breakfast before the trip. Staff were very helpful on... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighborhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
