We should have read TripAdvisor reviews before booking this place, we knew we were in for an interesting stay as soon as we exited the nearest Metro....this area is the ghetto! Before we even entered the hotel we noticed the "working girls" directly across the street as well as all the leery men these types attract. The lift is dodgy... More

My friend and I were lured by the low price of rooms here, 11€ each, but the place is terrible! Do not stay here even if you want something cheap. It says it is just place for students and families but do not go there! The 'man' working there was extremely rude and unpolite, swearing on greek and locking himself... More

I was given a room with bed bugs which started scratching me during the night and sheets got full of blood and when i started squeezing the bugs they were full of blood too. I asked to be moved to another room which seemed ok but thinking of the previous room I stayed awake all night. I wasn't very pleased... More

As I sit writing this review I am watching the bed bugs crawl across my pillow. Yes, plural bed bugS. The area outside is intimidating loud and scary for a woman traveling on my own. Only one elevator works. But don't take the stairs.... You don't want to see what the lower floors look like (it looks like a prison).... More

The only thing this place had going for it was it's cheapness. The hostel is directly opposite a brothel and the area is generally seedy and at times very intimidating. The hostel itself was dirty, absolutely stank of smoke and didn't even provide bedding. There was very little hot water and the bathroom facilities were both outdated and grubby. Fortunately... Very friendly owner, nice position and well served by public transport. Bathrooms only in common but no big deal. Some posh guys could say it's a bit dirty but hey, you get what you pay for. Very good quality/price ratio. Resumed: 80% quality 90% Sure i'll come back

The room was terribly dirty and cold. The facilities are old, which wouldn't be that much of a problem if the room was clean. It's cheap, granted, but I'd definitely pay a couple of euros more and stay elsewhere. The neighborhood is not the best either. It's close to Omonia station and E. Venizelos avenue, but that's it.

this is the most horrible experience ever. after paid the reservation fee with my kredit card, i paid the rest 17 euro by reception. but after i returned from greece, i found out this hostel charged from my card another 17 euro, already before my arrival! i've booked hotels from budgetplaces a bunch of times and have never been charged... Cosy hostel and friendly service! Really great hostel for a low price. It`s an ideal variant for tourists who stay for 2-3 nights in Athens. The only disadvantage is a dangerous area of it`s location.
