Loved the hotel - imaginatively designed, cool and airy and colourful gardens - nice touches - flowers in the room on arrival - large rooms - superb views and large balconies with fan. Staff really excellent - could not fault them at all - always smiling - genuine not forced. Helpful when had to find a dentist - and asked... More

The room was great - classy and comfortable. Good value (I think we paid $240/night + tax, including breakfast) The gardens and surrounding hills were lovely and most of the staff were really friendly. Unfortunately our check in experience was awful. Really, really rude.We arrived after dark on a Friday, after two flights and 4 days aboard a boat charter... More

Stayed from 1st to 8th November. We couldn't fault anything. Antigua is brilliant. The Sugar Ridge staff are amazing from front desk reception to Marcia who was standing in as manager. Waiting staff always very pleasant & smiling (Charlene & KC are two of many). Breakfasts in Sugar Club are fantastic, with tortilla wraps with scarmbled eggs, spiced french toast,... More

Our initial impression of the hotel was slightly disappointing, having just left a fantastic hotel in Barbados only hours earlier. We had been treated to the honeymoon package which consisted of a nice complimentary bottle of Prosecco and a half hour spa massage treatment. The hotel has some fantastic views so why they booked us into a room overlooking the... More

The rooms are very clean and nice. The food is pretty good but I would have liked more tropical fruit and healthier options with less carbs. Some servers work htf to accommodate specific dietary needs while others do not. The service is hit and miss. I really wish there would have been service by the pool. Antigua itself is a... More

Since my last review on here, we have stayed twice more. Our most recent stay was October and it didn't disappoint again. We were going to try somewhere different, but we know here we can be guaranteed a perfect holiday. The staff are fantastic, I'm not sure who trains them, there are quite a few that have been here a... More

Having stayed at numerous hotels in Antigua, this is probably about the best you can do without paying over the odds. It's not good for families with kids, especially young ones or those that don't like steps. Built on a hill side there are golf buggies to ferry you around but there's usually a wait (not that I used that... More

I was pleased to read how much you enjoyed your stay at Sugar Ridge, and for praising the staff. A great team in which I take some pride in building up over a three year period since Sugar Ridge opened. However, it would seem from your comments that I let the side down. I go in to the gym at... Due to an American Airlines attendant mishap of tearing my husbands passport, we only stayed one night at Sugar Ridge before moving on to another resort. When we finally arrived, the staff at the resort for check in were wonderful and were anxiously awaiting our arrival. We were blessed to have reserved our trip thru Vacation Express and they kept... We just returned from an amazing stay at Sugar Ridge Hotel in Antigua. The rooms and facilities were exactly as they seem on the photos. We stayed in Room 9 and it was located not too far from the main restaurant/office/parking so we didn't have to travel far. I wouldn't have liked it to stay in higher numbered rooms as... More
