A beautiful hotel, 5 mins walk from the hustle and bustle of Jolly Beach/Jolly Harbour. Has a courtesy Land Rover to shuttle you to the various beaches in the area. The majority of the staff were extremely friendly, very efficient and a pleasure to intereact with. Vaughan was a star and Carleen (Careen?) in the Sugar Club a joy every... More

Luxury rooms, plunge pool on balcony, free mini bar. All the staff were super friendly, the food at the restaurant was always incredible. All inclusive was also included at the Nest beach bar/restaurant. The staff went all out to ensure that you had the best holiday possible.

The grounds are well maintained and pretty. The rooms are a decent size but the beds take up most of the space. The air conditioners are extremely noisy. There are no mosquito nets in the sliding doors so you have no choice but to keep the doors closed the whole night; if you do not, you will be all bitten... More

Lovely Stay at Sugar Ridge. Accommodating Staff with Attention to Detail. Stayed in Room 53 - up the Hill. Great exercise to walk around with lush tropical surroundings... Had the Breakfast Plan and ate at various local Restaurants within Jolly Harbour area. Try Shear Rocks - "Excellent Food and location for sunsets". Had Good food at Carmichael's atop - alittle... My wife and I both needed a rest after a busy start to the year in our working lives and chose a week in Antigua. Friends recommended Sugar Ridge and it did the job for us. Our room had a large bed with mosquito nets and a pleasant balcony overlooking the gardens and down to Jolly Harbour. We were high... More

Superbe hotel set about 15 mins walk from the nearest beach - though the hotel runs a shuttle to all the local beaches! Great setting, really friendly staff, lovely rooms, good food, nice pool. Also frequented by some celebs and sports teams if you are into that sort of thing.

We were in Antigua the first week of April and indeed had a great time-The resort was not quite what I expected. Higher rooms have an amazing view so make sure that you get one of them- My major disappointment was the customer service, at the reception, restaurants and in general. Pros: The swimming pool in Carmichel's restaurant it's amazing... More

We came to Antigua on vacation to get away from the stresses and strains and to 100% relax. This is the perfect place to do that! Staying in the villas instead of a hotel complex was unusual but actually really lovely. All the rooms have a private terrace which is perfect to chill out on at any time of day,... More

The Sugar Ridge is well located, and has nice premises. Not well maintained though. Many customers (like we) buy all inclusive package. The result is that service at the hotel and restaurants is really poor. No one really cares. They got your money already. Days 1 and 2/ inspite of several calls did not get even water to rooms or... This was our first visit to the Carabbean for 40 years. It was where I wanted to spend my 70th birthday. I chose Sugar Ridge because it was set back from the beach on a hillside overlooking the bay. What I failed to realise was that the main road was to the front of the resort and sure enough we... More
