Sugar Ridge is the best place place to stay in the Jolly Harbor area. The moment we arrived, we got a very warm welcome, and a speedy check in. We stayed the week of Sept.6 to 18 in room 56. Very nice, clean room with TV, plunge pool, and king size bed! The view from the room is to die... More

On arrival you are greeted with warm smiles and a rum cocktail and the classic cooling towel to wipe the sweat from the brow. Its about 45 minute from the airport. The very friendly staff will take you to the beach any time and give you hints and tips about the island. I was with Miramar Sailing and so they... More

Perfect location...great breakfast, friendly staff, very clean room!!...Only ask to switch off the pool during the night...it's very noisy.Sometimes they have private party, but very good music!Have a dinner at the sugar club, good food and not too much expensive.

The staff at Sugar Ridge is just delightful every one always greeted us with a smile and ensured we had a great time often sharing local tips for restaurants and things to do and see. It is not on the beach but the very friendly staff will take you to any beach in the local area free of charge.

It's nice and fairly new in an attractive location over looking Jolly Harbour. There were some building works on a neighbouring hill that detracted a little but no big deal. Some of the interior design is ill-thought-out - for example the restaurants are so dark you actually need a torch to read the menus. What is the point if that?... More

I recently stayed here with my girlfriend in the last week of August. We enjoyed a lovely stay. The staff were very helpful and prompt. The room was great. Nice balcony and view with plunge pool. I think the air con units could do with updating as they are quite noisy, but you get used to it. Food was plentiful... More

Very nice location well organized transport to beaches, but yes getting to the rooms is interesting with golf cart service or an uphill hike. Where the hotel really fell down was breakfast. They are full, so make provision for being busy. Put on a buffet, but 90 min wait for 2 fried egg is ludicrous.

What a fantastic hotel. This truly is a boutique hotel of the highest standard. We have travelled to many islands in the Caribbean, never before having felt the need to write a review, but if you are going to Antigua, you could not better this place. We transferred to this hotel at very short notice and the staff could not... More

This review is very overdue... We visited Sugar Ridge in November 2012 and stayed for the duration of our holiday which was 11 nights. I cannot recommend this place enough, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are just lovely... Lots of space and v clean. Breakfast was great and each day they would provide a new 'juice of... More

This is a lovely, understated hotel with a really nice feel to it. It is set on a hill with the rooms set into the hillside, at the top of which is Carmichael's, an absolute must for a sundowner! We had a room right at the very top of the hill with panoramic views down across the harbour and out... More
