This is a reasonably priced hotel in the center of the town and on a small square. The room was small, as with most hotels in this category, but comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and the shower very strong. The room was in the back with a partial view of the Santa Luzia church at the top of the hill.... more
The 2006 review suggesting the Viana Sol needed renovation is still true. It's a little gloomy in the 70's era lobby and the carpet is a little worn. However, the staff is friendly and helpful, fluent in english, french, and dutch, it's in a great location 1 block back from quayside, the bathroom was clean, and they had a good... more
I stayed in this hotel last July and I must say I was very disapointed. Although the price is relatively cheap, the rooms are in need of urgent renovation, specially the matress on the beds!! When you walk into the hotel you may think that you're travelling to the 70's! The only good thing is that it was clean. more
