The Bela Star is located rather far from the city center. It took me about a half hour to reach the river, and that was a downhill walk. At the end of the day, I returned via metro from the stop outside the São Benito Railway Station. The station closest to the hotel is Marquis, and even that is a... More

we stayed here for 2 nights and it was comfortable and defi worth the money!! its about 10-15 mins walk to the riverside and there is a metro station just 6 minutes walk from the hotel which will take you straight down to the riverside. There are not many restaurants and shops very close to the hotel but there are... More

Best place to stay. Very cheap. From outside you think its bad but when you enter you will realize you were wrong. Staff is a sweet old person though he did not know english he was very welcoming and friendly like young guy...:) Close to every thing.

Location bad (is far away from metro or buses), at the reception they don't speak in english, Air Condition didn't worked, my room was in the third floor, no elevator, no help. Meantime no cleaning. For 25 euro/night in Porto, it is a very bad choice!

At first sight you may just think that you are back in the last century. But the hotel owner was great. He let us chose our room. Than he gave us a map and advised us on where to go and what to eat. The room was clean and we had free wireless.

Our room was very small for 4 people. The only thing that could actually fit there were the beds.... absolutely no place to move around, We visited in October and it was quite cold outside and the hostel had no heating so i was freezing cold at night. The room was smelly and so was the bathroom. At least, it... More

We booked a hotel over booking.com, but the hotel we made the reservation for was full (even though we received a booking confirmation by email). They sent us to this hotel, which was ok in the entrance area, but the rooms were smelly. It was generally kept clean, but there still was a dank smell in the rooms, and at... More
