One of my biggest bugbears with hotels is the advertising of WIFI in the room, only to find that it is slower and more frustrating than dial up modem in the 1990's. Unfortunately this hotel did fit this profile. The internet seemed fine in the foyer but useless in the room. I note this was not in all the rooms... More

The hotel comprises an old building and behind it at right angles, connected by a glass corridor, a new block. Lifts in both buildings but guests need to use the glass corridor to move between buildings, and guests in the old building cannot take their luggage down to the parking area without walking across the reception and glass corridor areas.... Very clean good sized bedrooms with excellent ensuite bathroom, staff are very helpful, self service breakfast is varied and of high quality (really good coffee), ten minute walk from the centre and 15 minutes to the river frontage. Be aware that all of Porto is very hilly and the majority of roads and many pavements are cobbled - good footwear... More

Good value and good location. Room very nice and bright, bed was hard but slept like a log! Only issue in the room was the blind that was temperamental. Breakfast was excellent good quality and great selection.

Clean hotel, all interior is quite nice, main thing that would stop me returning are the mattresses are incredibly hard. Couldn't have stayed more than 2 nights due to uncomfortable bed. However if you like a hard mattress then you will love this hotel as no other faults! The location isn't bad, you can walk to bars/ restaurants in about... More

The hotel is excellent, the rooms are big the same is the bathroom. The stuff is very kind and helpful and ready to help you with what ever you need. Breakfast is fantastic. The only problem is the location which is about 20 minutes walking distance from the touristic area. If this is not an issue, go for this hotel.

This hotel surpassed our expectations. Situated somewhat off the main drag in a narrow, nondescript street, its outward appearance is rather unimpressive. Inside, however, everything is just what one would expect of a modern, quality European hotel: clean, modern furnishings and fittings, well-equipped rooms, efficient, English-speaking staff and an excellent breakfast, catering for all tastes. We had requested a quiet... More

This is a really nice hotel. The 601 bus from the airport stops about 7mins walk from the hotel and it takes about 40mins (1.85 euro each way). The 602 actually passes the hotel but takes 90mins apparently! There are several restaurants nearby. We ate in 2 (albeit Italian!)- A Pasta which is at no 40 on the same street... More

Downtown any european city is difficult to get good prices and quiet surroundings. This Eurostars hotel offers both plus parking (for a fee) just withing walking distance of all majors sites of Porto. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The desk personnel efficient and English proficient. Our only problem was the poor wi.fi reception and the apathy about fixing... More

We found this hotel very comfortable, from the great breakfast with good coffee, to the helpful and amiable staff. Wifi was glitchy, better at the cafe on the corner, but overall, we'd love to come back. The location was quiet, and with so many pleasant pedestrian streets, you hardly notice the walk up from the river. Obrigada!
