I expected something more from this hotel, my room was the smallest one I ever stayed anywhere. It had really tiny window, bad air flow and is was very noisy at night, but at least it was clean with fresh towelles every Day. Oh and a breakfast was so simple and small that you could not even noticed it. Huge... More

Definitely, it was a great success to have chosen Pensão Cristal to stay during our three day trip to Porto to assist the Primavera Sound music festival and, incidentally, make a short break in early June 2014. Good, cheap and above all, very very very central. One step from the Livraria Lello –a famous bookshop which inspired Harry Potter’s books-,... More

Great location city center, near many attractions, in the trendiest street in Porto for night life, so be prepared for some noise if your room faces the front street. Breakfast is basic, very simple, jam and butter. Room not big, but OK, clean. Staff is nice. Great value for the money.

This pension has great location, not too far from the train station, the city's main square and many of Porto's main attractions. Don't expect a large room, but you will get a clean, functioning room and a firm bed. The bathroom is compact as well. The room comes with continental breakfast that is served in small dining room on the... More

Pensão Cristal B&B is a charming small hotel in one of the best locations in Porto. Located on charming Rua Galeria de Paris the street lined with a number of art nouveau buildings was meant to be covered with an iron-glass structure, and be a true gallery, as was fashionable in Paris and London at the beginning of the 1900’s.... Service: Terrible. We arrived at in the early evening in pouring rain to find the doors locked and no one at the front desk. We rang the bell and pounded on the door for about 15 minutes before the receptionist came to let us in. She offered no explanation or apology for our extended wait outside in the rain with... More

The best bit about this hotel is the location; one minute from Livraria Lello and the university and a short walk to plenty of shops, cafes and the waterfront. I really appreciated being able to walk everywhere so easily. I stayed in a single room, which was small, but adequate for my needs. The bathroom was tiny and I had... More

I got a single room in mid Novermber. It was the most expensive of the places I've stayed and least impressive. But I was desperate for a warmer room at night that was the ONLY thing this place had going for it during winter. Pros: -provided portable heater, which was my main necessity at the time. -Elevator -Great location. Safe.... More

2 nights in October. Very fine for short stay, reasonable prices, sufficient brekfast, competent and friendly staff, excellent position in the centre. In the time of our stay, the surroundings were quiet. I would like to come back with pleasure. Highly recommended.

Very nice location, perfect for one or two nights (solo or couple), friendly staff, you get what you pay for. The only disappointed is that the breakfast is just bread, butter and coffee so I had to go every day out to get a proper breakfast and they don't provide any shampoo and shower gel so make sure you bring...
