From my experience, staying at this hotel was one of the best things from my short trip to Porto. I will especially remember how friendly and nice was Claudia, the recepcionist, who helped us in anything we asked. I was also surprised by the good breakfast, especially as there were many different pastries and a very good orange juice. As... More

Some friends suggested this place because of the location. It is conveniently located, but that is probably the best thing about it. The rooms were a little small. A little bit musty and dated. The bathroom was tiny. The breakfast was included, it was ok, buns and breads and baked goods and jams. The retro antique decorations are kind of... More

When the taxi dropped us off my first reaction was "what have I got myself into!". The reception desk didn't help much either being wedged into a tiny hallway. But this is a case of under promising and over delivering. Once we were able to see the rooms all was well. Booked a "superior double room". It was large even... More

Booked this hotel mostly because of the value rating it got in Fodor's, so expected an average stay. First off, the entire staff is so friendly and helpful! Special callouts to Claudia and Marcelo who helped us each day plan our itinerary of what to do around Porto. My initial plans were so deadbeat compared to what they suggested and... More

Stayed here for four nights in May. Quirky hotel with antiques and even dodgem cars! amazing staircase! Customer service was excellent from all the staff, checking in and out easy too. Breakfast offered a variety of cakes, croissants, cereals, juice etc. Great location for seeing everything! Room was large with complimentary port and nibbles on arrival! Thanks! Really enjoyed the... More

Wonderful hotel right in the middle of Porto. 2 blocks from the train station, 2 blocks from Trindade main metro station. Large comfortable rooms on a very quiet street, great breakfast, .. but the best part was the staff! Virginie and Claudia were charming helpful and completely the best information sources we have found at any hotel in the world.... More

Rooms really very in size, some large and beautiful some small. Lovely 1920s style with collectibles all over. The breakfast left much to be desired especially for someone with hypoglycaemia. Overall comfy rooms and nice staff who were fluent in a variety of languages.

I made a reservation on that hotel because of its good place and reviews . I expected to be more clean . It is an old building ,with poor services. Advantages : Offers free wifi.Metro station is close. Several bars around the hotel .Located in central position.

Clean, helpful staff, good location, bathroom a bit small in our room but other rooms we had had big bathrooms. Breakfast was as expected. 10 minute walk to the river and bridge. Metro station close. Several bars around the hotel overall 8/10 Would stay again
