I stayed here as a solo traveller 18th-20th June, and everything about my stay was positive. The one thing i would say to be aware of is if you're looking for this place on foot, it's not easy to spot. The only indication that the building is the Pedra Iberica is a small plaque outside the door - otherwise it... More

The place is currently undergoing some renovations and we were lucky enough to get a newly renovated room, complete with king sized bed and a rain shower head in the bathroom. It was quiet at night and just enough outside of downtown, but still very easily accessible and a short (15 minute) walk or metro ride to the center. The... More

Property advertised WIFI in rooms. Was allocated top floor, which had very poor reception. In fact owner admitted it was small. So if this is the case-sort it. However, lets move on, bed extremely comfortable and room clean with good bathroom albeit compact. Friendly café next door. Was with two older people who found the stairs hard. Mauro was kind... We loved our room on the top floor with a view of the city. Clean and comfortable, super value and with the young man in Reception very friendly. He spoke English and gave us the name of a super chicken restaurant for dinner. Very quiet back room with great back garden access on ground floor. Cock crow early morning and... More

This hotel was by far the best out of the three I stayed in whist in Porto and the surrounding areas. Lovely staff, but very very little English. This was fine as by the end of the week we had picked up a bit of Portuguese. No breakfast available, but this did not matter as next door to the hotel... More

The Pedra Iberica offers superb value with its recently renovated no-frills rooms in a charming traditional building. We stayed for three nights in a quiet airy room for four at the top of the house overlooking the large pleasant garden. Small but clean and efficient bathroom. No a/c, but fan provided. Neither were needed in late July. Communal areas on... More

There were three of us in a quadruple room that appears to have just been refurbished. This was / is being done very sympathetically to the original style of the house (the hotel still has work to do at least on the ground floor from what we could see). The room was very clean and had plenty of space for... More

I was with five of my children, one of their friends and my niece. Unfortunately our stay was short but when we are back in Porto, we will definitely stay here again. Everything and everyone were so welcoming and the place was truly immaculate. We were given two spacious and comfortable rooms that were connected by the bathroom. There was... More
