After a three night stay at the Hotel Fenix in Porto, Portugal, me and my family had our room robbed. Someone took from inside the safe 1,300 euros and 400 dollars. We are deeply disappointed with the response from the hotel's direction . After all Nothing has been done, no explanation has been given and the money was not returned.... More

Minibar was half-empty when I checked in and they tried to charge me for it! No iron or ironing board in the hotel for guests, even though they told me there was when I went to book. It's really a shame that this turned out to be such an awful place in the end.

I like the hotel although the fact that is situated a little bit far from the city center and the old part of the Porto. It's close to the rotunda Boavista and the square Mouzinho de Albuquerque, where you can find a big number of public transport - buses and the metro stop Casa da Musica. On this square is... More

Stayed here for two nights. Arrived on a wet and awful day however was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the premium suite on the top floor! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Any queries we had they were very efficient in helping us out. We paid extra for breakfast which was great and well worth the 4€ each and... More

Getting to the hotel by car was a bit of a pain due to to road closures and the one-way street outside. The car park is underground and secure. Check-in was fine. The bedroom was reasonably quiet and comfortable. The bed spacious, firm, and the air conditioning though a bit noisy kept the room comfortable. Breakfast was charged at 4... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the HF Hotel Fenix, Porto. The hotel is close to the Boavista Roundabout and the Casa da Musica and is within reach of almost anywhere in Porto by metro. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff in the hotel were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is amazing value and very... More

We were upgraded. Don't ask why - we didn't... We got a huge comfortable suite, with a scenery toward... a cemetery. It wasn't a common cemetery, but an old one, with interesting memorial monuments. The room had a separate working chamber, which was the only place where the WiFi was working. At the lobby level there was a Japanese restaurant,... More

Very nice hotel, which is only a short walk from the Casa Da Musica Metro stop, meaning that all locations around Porto are very accessible. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and professional. The staff are extremely helpful, and the breakfast is fantastic value at four euros a day. We stayed for a week and had absolutely no problems.

Ideal location to explore Porto and the surrounding area, just off Boavista roundabout with good links to all the main routes. The hotel ticked all the boxes, friendly, clean, decent size rooms and no problem with a late (1pm) checkout. Have to mention I did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment, but enjoyed a couple of local cares for.... More
