We had a wonderful one day and night stop over in Porto on our way back to Lisbon and we stayed at this hotel. I love the old structure of the building. The room was nice and clean, the staff were friendly although it was just my partner who talked to them all the time because of the language barrier.... More

Very good location by Aliados avenue. Clean hotel. Big rooms, good pricing. Brekafast is ok, a bit boring: bread with ham and cheese. Not so good coffee. Wifi is ok, parking in a garage in 2 minute walking distance for 12 euros per day.

Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, seems to have been a grand hotel earlier but reduced both in size and distinction. Look at old photographies of owners and staff! Nevertheless still a nice hotel with a really good location close to the Bento railway station. Very helpful and nice staff, "petit dejeuner" only but with a grand cafe/restaurant at... More

Stayed in Room 405 - room fine, bathroom small but ok. Small balcony with great view of avenue but noisy at night especially at weekend. Very friendly and helpful receptionists . Breakfast adequate . Proximity to metro an added bonus. Plenty of cafes and restaurants close by.

Lovely looking, grand hotel from the outside. Arrived later in the evening, tired and wet. The entrance was at the side, small and had stairs leading up to the lift that could only take one person and a case. so not a good start ! room was very small, old fashioned and noisy. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, however when... More

The hotel is in a good position, the reception is 24h (some receptionists are nice some not really) and the rooms are quite good (we took a superior room to avoid the noise as described by other reviews but didn't work) and that's it. My feeling after the stay is anyway high disappointment: the rooms are noisy (we could hear... More

Very helpfull hotel staff in an elegant historical building. Rooms are clean (new bathroom) but bed is too hard and you can hear the traffic noise during the night. Breakfast starts (if you want to do a day trip) too late at 8 AM and you don't have such a great choice, also everyday the same. But considering price/quality and... More

The Hotel has a very central position in the Aliados avenue. From there you can walk directly to the hearth of the city and explore its beautiful corners. The stairs and single elevator might create difficulties with large luggages and the breakfast could be of higher quality. Nonetheless the room was very nice furnished with an amazing shower and the... More

This hotel has an execelente location in the famous Avenida dos Aliados, only 30 meters from the subway. The hotel sits in a old building and is very degraded. Wodden floor noises, carpet stairs in very poor condition. Noise isolation in non existente. Reception is in the second floor and the elevator entry is in the first floor so prepare... More

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. This time, we got a very tiny room for the price we paid. There were huge concerts in the plaza Aliados, making loud noise until 5 am! The desk people seemed to have no idea what was going on, and while they were friendly, didn't seem very knowledgeable about... More
