well located off the main square. a very nice hotel. I had a room with a king bed in the interior so was nice and quiet with a view of the clerigos tower. easy walking to the main attraction and some nice restaurants. also only two blocks away from where the clubs and bars are. breakfast was average but I... This is a super find in a central location. Very clean and room was well appointed. Comfortable beds and pillows. The reception staff were of great assistance who helped you get your bearings. Breakfast selection limited but it is 3*! Near some good and well priced restaurants. Would certainly recommend.

The hotel is very well located in a central area of the city of Porto, and is in a charming older building. The room my husband and I shared was spacious enough for a queen sized bed, two side tables, a small love seat, two luggage stands, a desk and chair, and a wardrobe. The bathroom was also updated and... More

I feel this establishment has been harshly reviewed by some. Having read the reviews prior to our stay, our expectations were low... but were exceeded in every department. The staff were friendly. Our room (202 - right next to the reception) was charming, with a modern, pristine bathroom that must have been refitted no longer than two years ago. The... More

Brilliant location, central for everything. The front rooms facing the road experience a lot of road noise but this is worth the suffering to be so central. Beds are hard but ok. Bathroom lovely good shower, toiletries and hairdryer provided. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there are stairs to the first lift door. Staff are lovely very... More

The hotel is located in a great location but it is very old and smells wood. The guys in reception were helpful and nice. The breakfast was poor. I stayed for 2 nights in the tiniest room I have ever been. The bathroom was also the tiniest one. I recommend you to stay only for 1 or 2 nights, not... More

This hotel is clean, has free wi-fi and is very centrally located in Porto - right next to a Metro stop (Aliados). You do have to walk up a few stairs (maybe like 10?) to get to the 2nd floor where reception is - I didn't find it a big deal. The staff was friendly. There is a breakfast for... More

First the the good bits! Cleanliness, comfy bed.Lovely lady on reception in the daytime, Night porter very pleasant when we had catch an early flight. Location fair. Now the bad bits, Dreadful cheap rubbish for breakfast. One of the "managerial staff" tried to convince me that cheap poor quality ham, "plastic cheese" stale cake, corn flakes and chocky chocs (the... More

Let me start by saying that this is the single best located hotel in Porto, with this kind of very acceptable daily rate. The first thing you'll notice is that the reception is on the second floor (you'll need to go up 8 steps to reach the elevator). It's not a big deal if you don't have any mobility issues.... More

Fabulous old hotel in excellent central area close to all attractions, shops and 10 minute walk to the river. Dubious to begin with as the reception was up two flights of stairs and it had a feeling of "age".. On checking in we were told we had a basic room up the 6th floor, the elevator only went up to...
