Hotel da Bolsa was booked as part of a package from a tour operator and we were happy with it when we arrived. The reception staff were very helpful and had our room available even though we arrived many hours before official check in. It's in a great location, only minutes walk from the river and Sao Bento station. The... More

The hotel is situated so close to the riviera, transport and most of the hotspots that we only ever caught the bus once to Praia da Luz as the bus stop was down the road. The staff were very lovely and multilingual, including a really friendly lady giving great advice about the things to do for my sister's birthday. Also,... More

This is a lovely, friendly hotel. You can catch the metro from the airport to São Bento metro station, change at Trinadade and then walk about 10 minutes to the Hotel. The hotel is very convenient for all the tourists sites and it is a very short walk down to the river Douro. We had booked for two nights and... More

We stayed at Hotel da Bolsa for one night during our Portugal tour. Its convenient location allows you to reach all major sights in Porto by foot. Check-in was quick and friendly. The rooms are on the small side, but the historic hotel building does not allow for bigger ones anyway. Bedding could have been more comfortable. The bathrooms have... More

Very well located hotel between San Bento Station and the river Douro. We could go walking everywhere. Staff was very kind they offered us a plan and some information. Breakfast was very good although maybe could offer more options. Rooms simple and clean the bathroom was fully renowed. I will book this hotel if I come back to Porto for... More

L ovely little hotel well situated and convenient to sight seeing. Very clean and lovely beds with fluffy pillow and duvets. Lovely modern bathroom with super shower and plenty of hot water. The staff were always most helpful and friendly....would recommend this hotel to anyone.

A great location and very reasonable prices are compelling reasons to pick Hotel da Bolsa. It's an easy walk from here to sights including the Cathedral, train station, the river and then across to the Port cellars. Metro is a five-minute walk (downhill on the way). Rooms are simple but good. Staff was very nice, and handled one issue quickly... More

Stayed here for the second time last October, now would not consider staying anywhere else when in Porto. I was with two friends on their first visit to the hotel and they really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff , excellent position for the town , the river and the port houses. Going again tomorrow with friends and have already booked... More

Not our best experience in Portugal. Extremely noisy renovations directly above us and strong headache-inducing paint fumes. We complained and were moved to a tiny room on a lower floor which, unfortunately, was just above a very busy, noisy street ..... one of those 'can't win for losing' situations. We didn't enjoy the breakfast at all. There was nothing hot,... More

We spent 3 nights at this hotel between Christmas and New Year. The reception desk staff were very friendly and helpful, other staff members did not speak much English. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the shower was great. The hotel was however poorly insulated for cold weather and noise....the room was cold despite the heater being on all the... More
