The hotel is located in Porto right next to a big shopping mall and about 10 min walk to the river. The reception is impressive and therefore my expectations were high. When I got to my room, there was this intense smell of air freshener on the floor and in my room (less would be soo much more). The rooms... More

We stayed at the hotel during the São João's celebrations and holiday. We booked a room at the "Ala Sul" of the hotel, supposedly the "Low Cost" part of the hotel. The main entrance for the "Ala Sul" is usually closed, so you basically enter the hotel through the same way guests staying at the other wing do (at least... More

This was a comfy and spacious room, clean and spotless, with a balcony, which was lovely but not really sunny as it was situated at the back and in a kind of niche. The breakfast was great, too, at least for those who like the continental fare. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Also the hotel arranged a shuttle... More

Its a bit better than average, but not very good. Would stay here again.its a 30 minute walk to the river or a 6 euro taxi ride. Room quality fine, but a bit small. Breakfast OK. Its not bad for the price.

Although the price paid for corresponded to the "regular" Tuela (55€/night), me and a colleague were placed at the "Ala Sul", a budget version, announced as 35€/night at the entrance door. This budget south wing is very basic, even more so than the regular Ibis, for example. The room had a window with a back view (to a roof), a... More

Good location and services. Wifi free whole places. Good restaurant and fair breakfast. No fridge inside the rooms. There is only a vending machine in the end of hallway with just a few options of drinks bavarages and snacks. The lobby is very nice and also the bar.

Nice hotel, very well located, close to Boavista Square, Casa da Música and Casa da Música Metro Station (150m). It is very well serviced, with nice breakfast, Internet service and good staff, who provide every essential information for tourism and business. I spent eleven days there in November and everything worked really well, I recommend this hotel for business and... More

A great centrally located hotel at a reasonable price. Only 15 minutes from the river scene which is beautiful. A 10 minute walk from the bus station and so close to stores, restaurants and much more. Breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The WIFI has poor reception on the fifth floor but not on the third... More

We booked a Double or Twin STANDARD + Breakfast at the HF Tuela Porto. We were given a Double below standard room in an adjoining hotel called AL SOL which abuts the HF Tuela but is clearly a low price budget hotel.(With a sign on the side advertising the fact). We asked for non smoking and the ground floor room... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Saving with quality is at HF Tuela Porto.Paying less does not mean you have to leave something out. This is not a hotel with minimum services but one that adapts itself to the actual needs of its guests. The quality of our services is side by side with the other group hotels and the clients' satisfaction is faced with the same dedication. Even in the South Wing of the HF Tuela Porto, where prices are irresistible, the rooms are equipped with Cable TV and SPORTV, the bathroom is equipped with hairdryer and the towels are changed everyday. The cleaning service is also performed daily and the breakfast service is available as an option. The Wi-Fi Internet is free and it is available in the entire hotel. Its amazing location is priceless: located in Boavista, the HF Tuela Porto has the public transportation network right at its door and it is very closed to Casa da Música, Pavilhão Rosa Mota, Soares dos Reis Museum, as well as an endless number of restaurants with extended working hours and several night life spots. The HF Tuela Porto is the perfect choice for those who do not want to leave anything out, even saving money. ... more   less
