A great hotel for an authentic late 19th century feel. This historic hotel has clean rooms, a great breakfast and tons of little nooks, crannies and furnishings to explore. The rooms are a tad on the small side, but there is a nice garden terrace and other drawing rooms to spend time in relaxing.

As I was walking up the street to get to the hotel after 9 hours of traveling, I wondered what lied in store for my husband, daughter and me. This is a very charming hotel. Unfortunately they put us on the first floor of the hotel the first night and we got Little to know sleep. However the front desk... More

I really liked this hotel, was really quaintly decorated, very old worldly. We were offered the choice of two rooms, we took the larger one with a refurbished bathroom on the second floor. The location was good, slightly tricky to find at first but close to all the sights & attractions Porto has to offer. Breakfast was very good. Our... More

The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from metro (Aliados or Sao Bento) so easily accessible to mainline train stations and the airport. Porto is quite hilly (not as bad as Lisbon) though so beware if lugging big suitcases. The hotel is located down a quiet street and as mentioned in other reviews it is in an old... More

Thank you for choosing our hotel and for your review. We are located in the heart of the city, so you have a lot of places to visit but some nights there is some noise in the streets. We are very proud of our “museum” and tasty breakfast, so thank you for your words. Hope to receive you next time... More

the hotel looks beautiful in pictures on the internet but its entrance is in an alleyway like street the interior of the hotel is beautiful although strange decorations like old toiletseats on the wall, rooms small but very noisy due to weekend partygoers at night, no fridge/minibar,breakfast good, internet connection very poor and first day not working at all but... I really liked this hotel...it seemed as if I were traveling in another era. It was very charming and pretty. The rooms are pretty basic but spacious and very clean. Sometimes in older buildings the plumbing is not great but this was perfect...the shower was nice and hot and the door sealed up well leaving no water on the floor.... More

A nice hotel in the very center of Porto (about 7-minute walk to the metro, 15 minute car ride from Campanha railway station and even less - from Sao Bento station, walking distance to all of the main sites), every single corner of which calls for taking pictures - every single artifact here is chosen with taste and love. Rather... More

If you want a nice place to stay in the center of Porto, this is the place. Nice rooms, strange but unusual decorations throughout the hotel. And for a short city trip you can start with an excellent buffet breakfast!

Old fashion but elegant. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Lots of history (since 1877) on display. Very elegant dining area with court yard. The breakfast was top drawer. The hotel is at the city centre, and very close to all attractions. The staff very friendly.
