A great place to stay only five minutes from Aliados Metro station and in the heart of the city. Excellent Art Deco styling which works well in Porto. More options at breakfast than we could try in three days and some brilliant restaurants from Pizza to Portuguese within 50 meters. Friendly staff, amazing value and a comfy room. We'll be... More

Location was great, old atmosphere in reception and breakfast room, comfortable beds and clean room. Friendly personal. Breakfast was wonderful. Lovely historic hotel. But I was expected about room regarding these descriptions a little bit more. It´s wasn´t very "historic". Ordinary hotel room. No fridge inside. Saturday night was very-very noisy from the street but Sunday also Monday nights were... More

Pros. Very centrally located and a quite good breakfast for a three star hotel. Personnel is very helpful and friendly. Cons. Furniture in the rooms is old and crooked, as are the stairs (the hotel has an elevator, though). The rooms are very small and lack coziness. Our room had a strong smell from the toilet - which turned out... More

Fantastic old style hotel, like going back in time. Beautiful original features, sweeping staircase, proper old lift and gorgeous craftsmanship. Wonderful breakfast which set us up for the day. Professional and friendly service.

The hotel is centrally located which is its biggest problem. The whole surrounding area has many bars and restaurants whose clients spill out into the streets very late indeed. This means that you'll get drunks and football fans yelling all the way through the night. In addition sound insulation between the rooms internally is very poor. It sounded as though... More

If you need wifi please don't stay at this hotel. Signal is bad and you cannot use it in your room. The room is old and has a creepy feeling. The interior paint and wood of the wardrobe are peeling off and they looked simply unsightly. The hotel reception charged us for water. We did not know of this nor... More

Location is very convenient downtown. Quick walk to the Cathedral and other locations and restaurants nearby. Staff is helpful. Rooms are clean - but small like most older European hotels. Meets the expectations of classic older hotels with character.

Interesting and lots of charm in a mid-C20th setting. Staff very pleasant to deal with and rooms clean. Very near to the centre of Porto, and a range of cafes, etc. Close to metro station. Interesting collections of memorabilia in the public rooms.

The hotel was among our favourites in our recent stay to Portugal. It is located in an alley away from the main street and was easy to find. The room came with high ceilings and we only realized on the last day of our stay that we had a balcony. Their breakfast came with our price and it was very... More

Nice.old fashioned hotel in the centre of Porto's tourist area. Easy to walk to everywhere from here. The help yourself breakfast is wonderful, possibly the best I've had in a hotel. Interesting building - the oldest hotel in Porto. i would have liked a tea tray in the room, but that's not the way they do things down south. I... More
