can’t express how disappointed I am with the service in this hotel. It’s such a beautiful place but the way we’ve been treated is simply horrible. This was supposed to be my birthday weekend with the girls and that’s why I’ve decided to treat us to a 5* hotel for a night. Reservation done via booking went as always (I’m... More

Hard to describe this hotel. It was unusual and beautiful. From the moment you enter the lobby you realise that this is no ordinary hotel. Huge art, chandeliers and wonderful features made this quite different from the usual business hotel. The room was of a reasonable size and I think I was lucky in getting s double bed as all... We have stayed three nights at the hotel. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Do expect old-fashioned attitude of distance but southeuropean warmth and humour. Hotel is old glory but updated. Breakfast is rich, different fruit/cereal/ dairy products. Bar has a very friendly staff but is not extended supplied. Rooms are just right, good beds, take rooms on inside, quitter.

Very mixed experience at this hotel in Porto. The good: Gorgeous lobby and restaurant. The breakfast buffet was stellar - selection that was truly outstanding. Nice location. And then the downsides: Worst mattress (lumpy!) / bed (headboard falling off the wall!) that I've ever slept on in my entire life:( Extremely small bathroom - with horrible shower. Not only was... The cons of the hotel are the rude staff, prices, and noise. They were moving furniture until 1:30am right above our bedroom. The pros are the many bars and restaurants in the area (which the staff won't tell you about) and the hotel decor is fun. My advice, keep looking.

An excellent hotel with fine rooms, wonderfully over-the-top decor (some form of Modernismo, I suppose, with baroque references), and excellent service. A perfect stay, with helpful staff. I appreciate the fact that there actually was a closet to hold my clothes rather than having every storage space taken up by spare blankets & pillow, safe, minibar, etc. Breakfast was very... More

Since the very first time I stayed in this hotel I've loved it. I'd describe it as an old Colonial hotel. When working in Portugal, I always try to arrange my itinery to include a stay in Porto, not only because I simply adore Porto, but I also adore this hotel. I particularly love room 502, but beware. With the... More

Our 3 days in charming Porto was made even better by our lovely accommodation at the Hotel Infante Sagres. The rooms were elegant and luxurious The beauty and elegance of the rod iron and sculptured stairwells and the old fashioned elevator made it a difficult decision on how to get to our rooms. The staff were helpful and classy. All... More

We have had a wonderful stay here, the hotel are very helpful from the moment you arrive with a welcome drink of port to our departure with organising our taxi. This taxi booking was not a straight forward request as we were eating at Taylor's Port restaurant, coming back to the hotel for our luggage (11 of us) and then... More
