We were greeted by a very friendly front desk crew, who offered us each a glass of port as were were registering - a very nice touch. The associate noticed (from his passport) that my husband was originally from Montreal and did her best to make him feel welcome by speaking French. After a quick review of the local area... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September. Not a great look as you arrive which made the interior even more special. Very attractive hotel with beautiful antiques and modern designer furniture mixed. We didn't enjoy the breakfast very much. Probably because the water for tea and coffee had a musty taste! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in October. The hotel is not impressive from the outside but that changes completely once you go through entrance. It is spectacularly decorated in an old world charm . We had a superior room on the 5th floor , overlooking the courtyard ,which was a good size with a large bathroom. The... More

The hotel is a bit difficult to reach although it lays in the middle of the city. The outside is a bit carelessly but when you enter you arrive in a splendid lobby. The common space looks like a little museum. The elevator is splendid. The rooms are small but gallant and nice. Also the breakfast offers an excellent choice.... More

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in! It is in a great spot and the glass of port on arrival was lovely! The dining room and environment were exquisite! The whole ambience was wonderful and the breakfast selection was amazing!

This charming hotel is situated right in the historic old town of Porto. It has bags of old world charm and all of the staff are only too willing to help. We stayed in a junior suite and it was magnificent. The décor was period to suit the hotel but it is obviously that it is kept to a high... More

The location is very good you can walk around Porto, there are many restaurants and stores around. the facade of the hotel look very old but once you are inside the decoration is good, I love the elevator! the room is ok, but we expected more, the breakfast is very simple, so maybe I would recommed to go somewhere else... This hotel looks plain from the outside, but is elegantly decorated and well-appointed. Although in the centre of Porto, our room was well-soundproofed. You cannot sleep at night with the window open so you have to count on the airco. In this case, however, it was very silent in the lowest stand (which is not common in many hotels). Breakfast... Embedded in the center of Porto, nevertheless calm and quiet. Reception and room service are engaged and friendly. Style and furniture needed to be updated. Also the breakfast needed more waiters. Um es mit den Worten von Hr. Horrmann zu sagen: ehrliche 3 Sterne!

We stayed here in September 2014 for a week. After a pleasant check-in we were to be disappointed with our rooms as not at all what we were expecting. Rooms were tired and a little shabby. Bathroom was not clean and slimline venetian blind in one bathroom was bent and would not close properly. We were booked in to have... More
