We arrived in Porto in pouring rain & soaked& in the dark. A very nice guy pointed us in right direction which turned out to be very close to station & town centre. The staff were terrific & couldn't do enough for us, dried our clothes for us. We left there to begin a 250km walk on the Portuguese Camino.... More

booking.com choice in old town booked the night before. Oportohouse is in a block with many shuttered business warehouses, quite hard to find by car in old town, (get a very high resolution map or GPS), with 2 tiny ambiguous places to stop only temporarily near entry to check in. This is a desolate setting and dark entry, but open... More

This hotel was a perfect place to stay in Porto! The location was great, the rooms were beautiful and clean. The beds were amazing with duvets, plenty of pillows - exactly what we needed after travelling for many days. The staff though was the best part of our stay - we had two girls who were absolutely amazing - Julia... More

Great location, nice ambience, super-friendly staff and an affordable place. Exposed stone walls, wooden parquet floor combined with modern décor gives a warm fusion feeling. We asked for a room on a high floor (to avoid the music of the bars downstairs at night) which wasn't available earlier but we got it when we arrived. Wifi wasn't working in the... More

Perfect place to stay in backpacking trips! It's all new and clean. There is no minibar and no tv in the room, but the room is very cozy. There is a TV on the living room. There are two shared bathrooms. The price is just fine as well! Me and my girlfriend loved the place!

The hotel is located in a narrow street very close to Aliados square. Although the place in weekends is very crowded and full of pubs and bars at night, once you enter the hotel you seem to be in a different place, very cozy and with a nice decoration. The rooms is very nice, and we barely could listen the... More

What an amazing find. This hotel is down a side street which could be a little off putting as there is very little open on the street itself and it is narrow with one way traffic. I was a little apprehensive when we arrived outside at 11pm at night, we got lost. Once we got inside you realise that it... More

Location near downtown (5 minutes to walk); clean and cozy rooms; friendly and helpfull stuff. The hotel offers the breakfast (4 euro per person) and public parking 15 euro per 24 hours instead of 32 euro (you need to by a card on the reception). Great price/quality ratio. Rooms on the top flour have the inclined celling. We booked a... More

Oporto House is located on a quiet street within walking distance to the Sao Bento train station and a block away from many restaurants and bars. The attic room is large and cute but be prepared for the sloped ceilings. There is no elevator so be ready to get your luggage up the narrow stairs.

I loved this B & B. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and we had a great view from our balcony. The hotel itself is very charming and has lots of common space -- they just opened a lovely terrasse out back, in addition to the breakfast area and the lounge next to the reception. The hotel is centrally located,... More
