We are fans of InterContinental group having stayed in their hotels on 4 continents but always review as we see it. Stayed for 5 nights. Special welcome for us on our anniversary from the manager and a glass of sparkling wine a nice touch and they pre booked us table for lunch on the outside terrace. Concierge booked us a... More

This is a really nice hotel, a magnificent old building with friendly staff. We only stayed there for 3 nights, but we enjoyed it very much. It is located very centrally in Porto within close walking distance to the majority of sights and museums. The rooms are large in size with spacious bathrooms, cosmetics in the bathrooms and our room... More

room over looked the main square which was nice. Bed comfortable and bathroom perfect. Would have been nice at the price paid to have had bottled water free of Charge as is the norm in this standard of hotel. 3rd day, the room was cleaned at 4pm and then it had to be requested. Not what you want when you've... More

Yes it is not a budget hotel by any means, not even close but if you are able to appreciate this kind of service and treatment you are the customer for which this hotel was created. There are so many details that make this property an above a 5 star that I would need space not available in this site.... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, while visiting Porto. The rooms are clean and spacious (ours was loft-like, with the bedroom upstairs, and the living room downstairs). The staff was so very nice and breakfast was great. The hotel is in an old palace, on one of the main squares. It has been lovingly restored. The bar is... More

While not over the top in terms of luxury, this hotel completely surpassed our expectations. It began when we arrived, about 11 am. Our room would not be ready for 30-40 minutes (we arrived before their posted check-in time); however the receptionist invited us into the nearby cocktail lounge for a (complimentary ) glass of port while we were waiting.... First time in Porto. We were given an upgrade as expected as ambassadors which was outstanding. Room fabulous, everything you expect in a 5 star hotel. The check in was great, as allowed us to check in during the morning. Breakfast was very nice indeed. The hotels location is fantastic, right in the heart of the sightseeing area. Be warned... More

This was by far the most expensive of the hotels in which we stayed during our holiday in Portugal, so our expectations were high. On arrival we were welcomed pleasantly enough, and ushered into the beautiful marble reception area - a good first impression. All the desks were busy so we were offered water, which we gratefully accepted after our... More

Had a faboulos stay at this hotel. First of all its centrally located and you can easily walk to every corner of the city from the hotel! A Taxi ride from the airport is approx 25-30€. The hotel is at one of the main squares located and in a beautiful old building. Inside you find a charming luxury atmosphere starting... More
