Great location, central to everything we wanted to see. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Very nice breakfast. Since this had been a theatre the decor is meant to carry on that look. But it did not work for us. The hotel is difficult to identify on the outside and we drove past it, having difficulty getting back around the streets... More

Location is good. Near to main train station and square. Room's design is fascinating (stayed audience room). Good price as compare others. Breakfast can be better. If you are looking hotel for romantic night, i strictly recommend to stay.

The hotel is modern, clean and interestingly designed, with beautiful details and a perfect location for tourists. The staff at the reception is especially friendly, customer-orientated and helpful, trying to go the extra mile and assisting you whenever possible. For the dinner at the bar on May 16th we have been excellently served by a very professional and multilingual waiter,... More

This is an excellent hotel in the centre of Porto. Theme of the hotel is a theatrical one & although it was a little dark - it all added to the atmosphere. The food is delicious and of a high standard. The breakfast buffet has a high quality range of food and you can have a glass of bubbly to... More

New hotel, only four years old. Dramatic, chic decor. Other reviewers say it’s dark, but of course. It’s theatrical. Worth a stop even if you're not staying here. Check out the rest room on the lobby level. Uniquely designed guest rooms. Knowledgable and helpful staff. Great breakfast. All worth five stars, but ... The tub/shower is a danger to get... More

(1) Best thing about Hotel Teatro is the central location! You can go everywhere in the city center on foot. (2) Staff were very, very helpful and efficient. This is true for all of them, whether bar, breakfast, reception or lobby! Thanks! (3) Theater-style: The hotel is located within an old theater and is designed to give that feeling of... More

The Hotel Teatro is well located, and designed with a theatre concept, heavy curtains cloak the corridor walls, door numbers are back lit, box lettering recalling the classic theatre row numbering and it has a dark, mysterious feel. Our room was generous in size, well detailed and very clean. Quirky design details make it feel unique. One problem was the... More

The hotel is themed to give a feel of the inside of a modern theater. It is dark but beautifully done. Check in was fast and the rooms were nice, although they felt a little cold. Perhaps they need art work? Bedding was comfortable, the large shower overlooking the bedroom was nice, you can keep the drapes closed or open... More

Really nice, well located hotel in Porto. Very impressive design throughout may not be something you'd have at home but it's pretty cool. Breakfasts are excellent. Service throughout was great and very professional including dealing with an unwell gentlemen who walked in and let off a fire extinguisher.

As the title of the review implies, there's quite a bit of drama at Hotel Teatro. The motif is reminiscent of a theatre--complete with costumes hanging in the lobby, leather seats like a theatre in the reception area, spotlights in the corridor, curtains hanging on the walls like stage curtains......and a very dark and brooding atmosphere. That having been said,... More
