Personnel hardly spoke any English, so communication was unproductive. Room was nice and clean. Although it did not seem like it, the place is positioned at a busy street with a lot of traffic during the night, it was impossible to sleep.

The hotel is at walking distance from all the highlights. The room was nice with a very small balcony. The bathroom was old, but clean. We had breakfast for 3,50 p.p. It was OK, but you can also choose to have breakfast around the corner. There is the main shopping street of porto. Here was also the pick up for... More

We were extremely happy with our recent stay at Residencial Santa Clara. The staff were very friendly and willing to help - they let us store food and drink in their fridge, use the internet and printer for free and tried their best to help with any info required. The location is great, five minutes walk to Bolhao metro station... More

Near the main shopping street. Rooms were clean and comfy. We could hear some street noise from cars passing by. Bathroom was also clean. Hotel gave us more of a Hostal-like feeling. Price was good:).

We got the room that you had to reach by climbing the stairs in very narrow corridor. The room is very dark and a bit depressing and it also has some "old room's" smell. Staff's english is poor and you'd better not ask for something complicated. Location-ok.

The hostel has a very good situation. The servants are very friendly and always ready to help. You can enter at every moment of the day. The only problems, we had is that its sometimes noisy at the street and you have to be a bit carefull with the shower, because it could be that a bit of water leaves... More

This place was just awful! The TV channels are blurry, a laundry will cost you 10 Euros, the beds are probably from 1910 and will kill your back with their bedsprings, the blankets are dirty, and there were lots of mold on the wall in the bathroom. The staff are more interested in drinking coffee and surfing on the internet... More

We usually stay at the cheapest hotels/hostels but this time we decided for something better (still very cheap) because we liked the pictures of santa clara. But we were really disappointed. Ugly room, the most uncomfortable bed ever with dirty bed linen with stains, extremely thin walls so we could hear our neighbours conversations, located in very noisy street and... More

We stayed there one night (2 people), agreed a price for one person for a second night then when we went to pay they conned us and doubled the price, we duely left, finding 3 days later they'd charged our card for the supposed second night. Beware, they'll ask you to pay cash, saying their card machine doesn't work. Strangely... More
