We booked here for 2 nights. The only thing that i don'l liked here was the linen, it was a little dirty. Becauses was january, in the room it was cold event the AC was in fuction all the time. I think you get as much as you pay.

This was by far one of the best places where i stayed. Whenever i need to go to porto for a trip, i always stay at Monte Carlo. Central part, wifi, great bathroom, and a great room. Definitely compared to a 5star hotel when it comes to comfort.

The area around the hotel is unprepossessing but friendly and safe. The interior of the guest housel has been nicely restored recently. There is no reception service as such but ringing the bell brings a member of staff quickly. Our room was small and basic but perfectly clean and adequate. The metro station is a fifty metre walk away but... More

How much money - that much music! (Don't expect miracle for that kinda price! - I must say) But even though, they could clean room promptly. :( --> Floor wasn't clean at all. Furniture is old. Inside the building strange smell. :( In afternoon hours on reception is lady that doesn't speak english (probably cleaning lady helping reception too). 'Cos... More

We booked a triple room with bath online here for a very reasonable EUR 35 per night. The residence is located in a somewhat run-down (but safe) neighborhood north of Campo 24 Agosto. While the exterior is unimpressive, the interior is very nice, featuring marble walls and vaulted ceilings, though it was a bit dark. When we arrived, it took... More

Thank you for your fair review. About the staff, this is a small family run hotel, thats why we can't have someone always at font- desk but if you ring the bell there is no problem! More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days last year and I was pleasantly surprised. It has amazing value for it's price - it was clean, safe, and very comfortable. My boyfriend and I got a very large room which was probably the cleanest room I stayed in on my Portugal trip. Service was good too although not too many... More

Although I cannot say the residence was far from the city center, I don't think it was well located (awkward and isolated street). The room was clean but the service was very unprofessional, there was never people at the reception and we were welcomed by a lady wearing a bath robe. No place to leave the luggage before check-in/after check-out.... More

Thank you for your comment. We understand your comments but don't forget this a family guesthouse with few rooms so it is impossible to have someone always at the front desk but there is always someone in the guest house working so it is only necessary to wait one minute in the front desk. I stayed this hotel two weeks ago. The staffs were v nice and helpful. In my original planning, I have booked a room for two nights. However, since my trip have been changed, I have to cancel one night booking. They didn't charge me any cost even I decided to cancel the second night booking. It is very considerate. As... More

Residencial Monte Carlo is an amazing bargain of a hotel, situated a stones throw from Campo 24 de Agosto Metro which is served direct from Porto airport (30 min journey for about 2 euros), and only about a 10 minute walk from the city centre. Our room was spacious, had a balcony, great en-suite, good wi-fi, very user-friendly heating/aircon. Staff... More
