Our first impression was brown and beige everywhere. We had a room on the 11 th floor which had a balcony and a lovely view of the beach & waves and very sunny as it faced West. The room was great apart from the decor! The bathroom was large & well equipped . It is a very large hotel ,... More

My husband and I drove through Spain and Portugal and stayed our last night at the Axis and a good selection it was. All rooms have a separate sitting area with a flatscreen tv in both the bedroom and sitting area. The bathrooms have a bathtub and a separate shower stall which was a welcome change to all of the... You get what you pay for. Comfortable bedrooms, efficient service. Weak points: location in the middle of nowhere (need your own car or pay a fortune for taxi) and poor breakfasts. Recommended for business travellers with their own rented car and not too big expectations regarding breakfasts. Good a'la card restaurant with efficient service and moderate rates.

I was there twice for meetings. First I thought it was just a temp problem wit wifi but second time, their wifi was so slow that couldn't connect and breakfast takes you back to the school canteen days. Recepcionista was not helpful at all. Aweful! Will not be back for sure! .....................

Near most motorways and main avenues, this hotel is a 15 minute car ride from the city centre and most places around Porto. WiFi Internet access is very slow and company VPN access is not allowed. We had to use our 3G phones to get on-line and get some work done. Don't bother hanging the "Do not disturb" sign. Hotel... More

Very nice staff, very nice rooms with good beds. The prices vs the quality are very good. The only things that could be better are the bar and the kitchen which is not that good. The hotel is located in Maia and you must take a taxi of train to get to Porto. If this is not a problem then... More

recently spent three nights here on business, the hotel is out of town on a quiet road. there are a couple of cafes and bars about 220 yards away that are cheap and well worth going to. the rooms all have balconcies some over look the road as mine did and some have lovely views looking over to porto. bathrooms... Hotel position is in a quiet and convenient location a bit away from the centre. We saw that it is used quit a lot by bus tour groups. Standard is what is expected from a 4 star Hotel. The "Spa" is a bit of a joke - a tiny swimming pool and a sauna, Hammam is all that is there,... More

The staff very friendly, the rooms clean. Breakfast also had good amount of choices The look/style of the hotel is between classic & design In general, very satisfyed. Ratio value for cost very good. The only thing is the location, which is not in city center. On the other hand is 10min from airport.

Not near to any shopping and restaurant. But hotel is comfortable. The front desk manager is unfriendly unlike in Spain. Breakfast spread is one of the worst in Portugal. We were made to wait for our breakfast although they have been informed we need to depart early for our group tour of 41 people.
