Maria Cyrne and her staff are second to none. They are so welcoming and warm and ensure that all your needs are met. We were wowed by the amazing views and lush and opulent manor house and rooms. We attended a wonderful family wedding and together with Maria all the details were excellently attended to and ensured that all the... More

The owner, Maria Manuel Cyrne, personally fetched us from a nearby service station as we had lost our way. Instant warmth was felt when she gave my father a welcome hug. That set the tone for a wonderfully warm stay at this establishment which has historically remained in this family for close on 800 years. The grounds, setting, accommodation and... More

A wows ancient estate where guests are being honored of being there. The owner and staff give you the impression you are your Lord and Ladyship of the house of the estate, and more than welcome like of you are at home. The estate is typical rural and you are in the midst of the country side, and enjoy the... More

This quinta was a warm welcoming place to return to after a wet day out touring the area. Fires burning in the fireplaces, a glass of port wine and quiet time. Great location. Interesting decor, many cozy spots to sit and relax. Rooms are large and comfortable. Very welcoming reception. Everyone made us feel at home. We highly recommend this... More

We really enjoyed our stay here! Christina was a terrific host and breakfast was fresh and abundant. The location is phenomenal and after a day of port wine tasting, it was the perfect place to end the day. Our suite was huge and the view was very beautiful. We highly recommend this property.

As others have indicated, this is an extraordinary property, beautifully set on 400 acres that are lush with vines and fruit trees. Our room was an enormous suite, filled with antiques, lovely and comfortable. (Bathrooms in an estate like this are unsurprisingly vintage.) We agree with other reviewers that the cluttered merchandise in the common rooms detracts from their loveliness,... More

This is such a delightful place.....a garden of Eden BUT it could improve ! 1). The place has dog mess all over the place. I wouldn't bring children. 2). The tourist information is nil . 3). The house wine (literally) is not the greatest but that's what you get.It grows on you. 4). The swimming pool needs more deck chairs.... More

Found this beautiful place on trip advisor which is why I have to share it with others. We stayed there in September 2012 and had one of the best relaxing experiences of our life time. The hotel was very quiet during our stay which made our experience even more memorable. The grounds were beautiful with grapes, figs and other fruits... More

Our family stayed here for a week recently for a wedding. The hotel is set in large grounds full of apple trees, vineyards and we even spotted some kiwis! The rooms are big and the lunch/dinner is grand.. lovely food. Breakfast is continental. There's an outdoor pool too with gorgeous views even if the water was freezing! Don't expect to... More

This was a wonderful experience. The hotel is an elegant residence, with large, comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms. The food was quite good, and reasonable for what they gave you. The owner is a delight; warm and welcoming. Everyone was very helpful.
