The owners are very welcoming and treated us to a nice glass of wine upon arrival, and provided good recommendations for dinner in the area. The room was very nicely decorated and quite large. The common areas are also very well kept and nicely decorated. Internet access is free. Breakfast was very varied and well presented, including seasonal fresh fruits.... More

We feel in love with this Casa. Britiande (location): the Casa is located in a small town and a remote area. You absolutely need a car to get there and around. It is a perfect location for day trip around the Douro (and just a drive away from vineyards and restaurants). It is quiet (even if the main road is... More

We stayed here for two nights. It's like visiting grandma's or a favorite aunt. The home is lovely. Nicely decorated, warm, spacious, very inviting. Just off the main road, but quiet. The grounds are very pretty too (even in Feb). We were offered tea and biscuits on arrival. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. The cook is very good. We... More

We spent two nights at the Casa in what turned out to be a cool July for the area. We would have loved to have had warmer temperatures to enjoy the relaxing and nicely landscaped pool area. Regardless, we really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was as clean as could be, well-decorated, and provided an excellent night's sleep. Ana... More

We have really enjoyed this beautiful place. We had a studio with every comfort and it is tastefully decorated. Pool and garden are beautiful. Breakfast and dinner (on request) are of excellent quality. And there is nothing wrong with the management, on the contrary, they are friendly and helpful!

A special place run by a great couple, tucked away beside an old church. Quiet relaxing getaway for couples. Rooms were stunning with fantastic fourposter bed, views of the church from the balcony, hugh bathroom with bath. Grounds have vineyard, orchard and pool. Make sure you sample the local wine by the pool and take time to see the church.
