We were 6 total.. 4 in the separate house and 2 in the main house. My 21 and 23 year old daughters loved exploring the grounds with the dog. Very relaxing stay.. The family was so nice and dinner was amazing... So much food and wine... I can't wait to come back again!

We stayed two nights in December 2013 at this beautiful Quinta. We caught the train from Porto which has to be one of the most beautiful train trips in the world. We arrived at the Quinta which is a rustic style farmhouse- and beautifully heated and decorated indoors. We were greeted so warmly and spent a lot of time chatting... More

We were under the impression that it was a family/farm atmosphere & really didn't experience that. There were no inside common places where you could go to sit and visit with other travellers or the owners. The accomodation was fine and the dinner there was good.

We stayed at Quinta de Marrocos at the beginning of October and were therefore able to participate (for a fee) in their harvest activities which meant a daylong personal tour with the owner, Cesar Siquiera, which included a tour of the vineyard (we could not pick grapes as it was raining), a close-up visit to the wine production facilities, wine-tasting,... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta de Marrocos. Views were breath-taking and the wines and ports provided with dinner were excellent. We stayed in a room in the house. It was very comfortable with double bed and a personal bathroom. We did have dinner on one of our nights there. It was definitely homemade, tasty, and very sufficient for... More

We stayed here while spending time in the Douro Vally. The owners were help full and friendly and the view was fantastic. You get the experience of living in a vinyard for a few days lots of fun. Tasting different ports and seeing the process of how port is made. it is located well to visit other parts of the... More

The folks at Quinta de Morrocos grow the grapes and bottle their own port and table wines. They also offer four guest rooms with breakfast and, for an extra charge, dinner with their wines. Our room was a good size (there were two of us), with a comfortable double bed and a bathroom and shower that while not extra large... More

We were visiting Porto for a quick weekend trip and wanted to experience the countryside. During my research, I stumbled upon these Quintas offering lodging and dinners. We absolutely love this concept as we often seek these out. It was a beautiful 1.5 hour drive from Porto along the Douro Valley. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a large... More

The quinta gets a "very good" based on the other options in the area, which aren't many. We enjoyed very much wandering around the vineyard, the tour and tasting provided by the owner, and the family dogs who were willing to be showered with affection. Breakfast was plenty of food, with enough options to make everyone happy. The rooms are... More

My husband and i spent 2 nights in this small, homey quinta (farm, vineyard, winery). It's in the heart of port wine country, along the Douro River, near Peso de Regua. It is a small, family run winery and B&B, set in an old monastery, in the Douro Valley. The proprietors, the Sequeira family are very welcoming, friendly, hospitable, and... More
