Fundador is within walking distance to the historic old town, which is the most positive attribute of the hotel. I think the Hotel Fundador is, if not the tallest building in Guimarães, at least is one of the tallests. The hotel has it's public areas renovated, simple and sober. Stay one night and found this hotel very good. Very central and close to everything. You can park your car and walking the city. Price very account. I paid for a night with breakfast and parking 50 €.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the hotel renovated, since the last time I visited Guimaraes. The lounge and common areas were much better than last time (although design is questionable).
