We booked and prepaid over the internet for a twin room and breakfast for 3 nights. Arrived at the train station and caught a taxi to the hotel Dona Sofia. The taxi could pull up in front of the hotel. A very efficient informative check in and we were allocated room 311. There is a lift servicing all floors, and... More

Hotel is located in an excellent area with easy access to shops and restaurants. Staff are helpful and friendly enough. Room was quiet although bed comfort was not, extremely hard and a piece of plywood is under the mattress for support! Breakfast service is sufficient although the coffee was the worst ever. Juice is a sweetened beverage. Good news is... More

We spent one night here as part of a 10 day trip around Portugal. We were able to park our car in the hotel’s own spaces. A more traditional hotel with antique furniture. We had a large room with a Queen sized bed. The receptionist was helpful in recommending places to see and restaurants to eat at. We ended up... More

We stayed for one night at the Hotel Dona Sofia. Getting to the hotel wasn't as easy as expected, because our navigator got lost but an helpful policeman helped us out. There are a limited number of parking spots available directly in front of the entrance (six if I remember correctly) and we were lucky enough to find a spot.... More

The hotel is centrally located which is excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. During the booking process it was stated that parking spaces were available, however when we arrived the lady at the reception informed us that there were only spaces available if there are any left (no guarantee) so we had to look for a parking space which... This hotel locates in the heart of Braga historical district, directly on one on one of central quit square. The beautiful buildings surrounds and you feel yourself in the past age. The golden period of Braga was past unfortunately, but it is still very nice city, real heritage with architectural masterpieces and "asylegju" ceramic decor. The hotel itself ia nice,... More

Travelling at a low time meant there was no access or car parking problem - and you are 'right there' in this impressive city. The lift worked well to a very well appointed room - large and clean. Breakfast was OK but not of the standard of others during long trip around Portugal.

Stopped in Braga to see the Semana Santa celebration. Hotel was conveniently located to all the major sites of the city. Room overlooked the square and was very quiet. Downside was that we were far from Internet router and often lost service unless you were positioned near the door to the room.

This hotel is really excellently located right in the center of the city, next to a beautiful square. There are some great bars, cafetarias and restaurants in the immediate surroundings of this hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, and i have no complaints about the quality of the mattresses. Breakfast was also quite good, with lots of fruits... More
