First night biking the Camino. Hotel was recommended by the tourist office. Had a special rate for the Peregrines. A little hard to find at first but not far from the Camino. Bike parking underground. Clean room and within a short walk to restaurants and the rest of the town.

We arrived by train and the hotel is right on the edge of the old town. The site is on an old convent which has been converted into a small shopping centre with a hotel attached. The local cuisine is excellent and the 'charcuteria', a shop selling local products including meat, cheese, bread and wine (don't forget the beans), is... More

Walking the camino and needed a hotel, not an albergue, for the night. The staff here were really outstanding and gave us a pilgrim discount. They also arranged to have our bags transported the next day since my friend was in a lot of pain. They also helped us find a sports store and restaurant. Couldn't have been more helpful...... More

A Beautiful well situated Hotel in Barcelos. Very accomodating staff, underground car parking. Rooms were clean and bright, nice and warm for the month of January. The bathroom was spacious and piping hot water. Will defiantly be staying again next year on my travels down to the Algarve. I had read other reviews before staying here and was concerned when... One entrance to the Do Terco is rather surprisingly through a dark archway at the end of the main market square (the other, more conventional entrance is on a quiet side street). You walk across an open bar/cafe area to some shops, and find the hotel entrance in the corner. The young man who checked us in was very helpful; our... More

Giving the fact that there are other hotels around Barcelos, just try them out. We were on a business trip and were suggested this hotel by our business partners, so there was not much freedom of choice, but if I can avoid to come back here, I will. The rooms are small and not even minimalist, but poorly equipped. The... More

Nice functional hotel, renewed with old furniture well conserved. Nice staff orientation, reasonable breakfast, well located with close commercial center and also close to the historical sites. No excessive noise, as it is far from the street sidewalk and even with a popular fair there was no problem. Wi-fi (a bit slow) available.

My room (no, no chairs and table on the balcony as other reviews suggest) overlooked a building site. Everything was covered in dust the whole time. I was surprised to read other hotel reviews commenting on the soundproofing of the rooms. Given that I could hear the man in the next room to mine snoring all night long, as well... More

After staying in some older, charming, Residencials the Hotel do Terco in Barcelos was an absolute breath of fresh air. The hotel is very modern and extremely comfortable. The double room we were given was quite large and very modern with excellent fixtures and fittings. We had a private balcony with table and chairs. The bathroom was also spacious with... More
