We returned from a week trip in Madeira. We stayed at Vila Marta.We enjoyed Joel's kindness and his warm welcoming you cannot find anywhere else. He was very helpful:as we had lost our suitcase,Joel helped us to recover it the day after our arrival(phonecalls to the airport...). We stay in Madeira from 7 to 16 April 09 in the Villa Marta. Joel was very friendly , you feel like at home. Everything's great ,very clean . Surprising by the bread in front of the door every morning!!! This place is very close to the pikes ,the trails .... and particularely to funchal, avoiding the mass. Thanks again... more

We stayed at Vila Marta over December for two weeks and were impressed with the levels of service, the cleanliness of the rooms and the great sea views. The vila is not in the heart of funchal, however there is a good bus service and cheap taxi's besides which I would highly recommend hiring a car in Madeira to see... more
