We rented a car and were free to roam around - beautifull dramatic setting. Plenty of walkes nearby. I found it very romantic and relaxing. more

First off this place is not the easiest location to get to without a car. Yes there are buses but I think there was only one bus a day when we went to Madeira in March 2008. We took a taxi and it was expensive at over 40 euros! The stress we experienced at having to find a way there... more
