I always stay in this apartments when I visit family in Madeira with friends! I chose to stay somewhere else this time which I was gutted to find out they had completely renovated the whole place! My only suggestion is that, I had emailed to ask about prices and no one responded back to me. Not only that, it would... More

A great sea view room on the seventh floor that was worth the extra to get. Good bus links into Funchal and an excellent prom close by that allows you to walk part of the way into town. Some restaurants near by that are reasonable. Only one downside was the walls in the rooms are a bit thin and you... More

My wife and I are regular guests in Duas torres, I'd say we have been there 4 or 5 times already. Since last time thy did a nice lift-up, many things have been renewed. The floors the walls, the wifi is much more stable. They also solved the problem of the smells in the bathroom. Now it does not smell... More

You can for get the old reviews, the hotel is now in december 2014 completely renovated and will go from 3* to 4*. A second lift is beeing installed, while I write this review. The apartmens are minimalistic but have everything you need. My advice is to spend the little extra to secure best seaview. The poolarea is nice, but... More

We suspect most if not all the bad reviews were done before some kind of major restoration/refurbishment cos some of the really bad reviews are so far from our (very good) experience. The hotel is a mixed development of what seems to be a modern tower block - 11 floors I think- of self-catering apartments & some low-level ground floor... More

Have returned after three weeks and only wish it had been longer. Room on the seventh floor looking out to sea, balcony in full sun from 8 to 8. Thrilled to be able to whale watch from our balcony. The staff good, with our regular maid becoming a firm friend. Bus stop outside and supermarket across the road. It would... More

Got off to a bad start when two of us were asked to share a room as they had problems with one of them. My friend had to spend three nights in a vastly inferior room but was given free drinks as a consolation. My room on the 9th floor was very spacious with a fantastic sea view. Obviously recently... My partner and I booked this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and were very happy we did. The staff on reception were very helpful and informative. We'd booked a sea view room for a small extra cost and it was worth every penny. We had breakfast on the balcony every day over the gorgeous madeiran sea, being only feet away... More
