I returned last last week from a 7 day stay in this hotel, with a tour company. The bedroom was a studio, large and with a well equipped kitchen area, large TV and sofa, large balcony etc.. It was well serviced - clean, towels changed etc. BUT the bed/pillow were the hardest I think I've ever slept on. I usually... More

We stayed here for a week and found it to be perfect. Great value beautiful view if you're on sea facing side. Very clean and good location, had kitchen too. Shopping centre opposite and little cafe across the road had good pastries and fresh OJ for breakfast. Can get bus into centre of town but we just walked along the... More

The hotel is situated on outskirts of Funchal opposite a shopping complex. Plenty of restaurants around and frequent bus service into the centre. The hotel overlooks the lido and has lovely views over the sea and towards Funchal. The pool area is pretty small and not a lot of room between sunbeds. Not a problem most days, but did get... More

Just returned from a two week stay, very impressed by the hotel which has been completely refurbished. Good location with buses and a taxi rank on the road outside to get into central Funchal, the room was larger than I expected with a decent sized flat screen , kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. The room had its own air... More

The hotel is very well decorated, nice reception area, lovely restaurant and poolside There is a very good shopping complex directly opposite with a supermarket and several takeaways. Local restaurants are fairly basic. There is however a regular bus service into Funchal from the stop outside the hotel and the fares are very cheap. The room I booked did not... More

This was our third visit to Duas Torres again for 17 nights ,last year we left an old but very comfy hotel this year following a complete re-furbishment we returned to a hotel totally transformed inside and out into a chic 4 start hotel ! without loseing any of its friendly feel . The hotel now has wooden floors throughout... More

As many others, we stayed here for one week holiday with girlfriend. Its very useful place. Big shopping mall across the street, few meters to real beach (not common on Madeira), superb pool and staff too, bus stop behind reception, spacious and good equiped room with marvellous seaview...All that young couple need to have a great holiday!

We booked this hotel for one week of a month long stay in Maderia expecting to change hotels when we were familiar with the area. We had a studio room which was an annexe from the main hotel overlooking the swimming pool and the sea. It was very clean and had great wifi. We realised how handy this place was... More

I always stay in this apartments when I visit family in Madeira with friends! I chose to stay somewhere else this time which I was gutted to find out they had completely renovated the whole place! My only suggestion is that, I had emailed to ask about prices and no one responded back to me. Not only that, it would... More

A great sea view room on the seventh floor that was worth the extra to get. Good bus links into Funchal and an excellent prom close by that allows you to walk part of the way into town. Some restaurants near by that are reasonable. Only one downside was the walls in the rooms are a bit thin and you... More
