We arrived on 13.Feb 2012 and relocated to another hotel 2 days later. Our room 204, at the rear of the hotel, overlooked the rear gardens of local residents. We did not want a room (at extra cost) at the front of the hotel because of the obvious noise from traffic using the adjacent steep hill. The sound of barking... More

The Madeira Panoramico is situated to the west of Funchal quite high up above the city. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the city centre. fortunately taxis are plentiful, a local bus stops just outside as does the open top "explorer bus" and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus back and fore on an hourly basis. If... More

This review is for the Paladar Restaurant rather than the hotel itself. We have stayed there for a short period, which which very pleasant....but more about their a la carte restaurant. We use the Paladar as one of our 'local' restaurants whenever we are in Funchal. Located at the front of the Madeira Panoramico hotel with it's own terrace and... More

My husband and I stayed over Christmas in this wonderful hotel. We had a lovely room overlooking the harbour and the hillside rising up from the town. Without exception, the staff were fantastic and the service exemplary under the watchful eye of Mr. Spinola, the manager. The hotel is in a perfect spot, with fantastic views, although, if you like... More

Have just returned after a lovely week at this hotel. Can't fault this hotel in any way, the room was clean, large and comfortable. Bathroom nice with powerful shower. We did'nt have a 'sea view' room but still had great views over the bay and also the mountains in the background. No traffic noise from our room on 2nd floor.... More

The hotel is great in an understated way and agree with other reviews re service, cleanliness etc. The views of the city and bay are superb. We especially enjoyed a good, relaxing breakfast on the terrace overlooking the city. I especially enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, quite big and nice and cool after a workout in the gym which was... More

The view is what stands out most of all in my mind. We paid extra for a seaview room and it was money well spent. I think my girlfriend got tired of me saying how stunning the view was everytime I looked out the window! The hotel as a whole is fantastic. The staff were very polite and friendly (the... More

Our stay at the Hotel Panoramico was fantastic - the hotel is lovely! The rooms are very clean and have a wonderful view of either the sea or the mountains. Our room, whilst facing the mountains, was extremely spacious and was cleaned every day. Even when I'd accidently spilt a bit of Diet Coke on the sheets and tried to... More

just returned from a weeks stay at the Panoramico hotel on a B&B basis, hotel spotless, breakfast plenty to choose from and good quality, never used the pools or jacuzzi but all looked fine, we paid slightly extra for the sea view room and well worth it, the view from it was amazing, beds uncomfortably hard, but how boring, everyone...
