We stayed for 1week. The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated. We had a room at the back of the hotel so no view :( but you pay extra for that. The pool are is nice but compact for size of hotel. Pool bar had good quality snack food and drinks. The breakfast was basic, and the same each... More

Breakfast was quite poor, everyday the same.. The pool area wasn't tha big what I thought from the pictures from their hotel pages. The room was ok and the view was amazing direct to the sea. Well I paid some extra for that. But the elevator is just opposite of the room and you can hear everything from the corridor.... More

On arrival at the hotel, we were swiftly checked in and found our rooms. We had requested a high floor (we were on the 4th) and that our rooms were adjacent with sea views. We were next door to each other and had the most stunning views of the sea which we were so grateful for. The rooms were large,... More

We've had one week stay FB+. Receive very small room on 7th floor with partly sea view. Room was clean, bathroom - small and quite worn. Air condition - set on 20 degree, you're unable to change settings. Unfortunately breakfast were quite poor, each day the same. Hotel needs some improvements - first of all new towels. Those we received... More

If I had known that this quality of breakfast expects me, I wouldn't have come here. Everything else is O.K. for this price: average but clean rooms, quiet good location, helpful staff. It's a funny spectacle to see the gursts sitting in the lobby in the evenings fighting for wifi.

My wife and I have just returned from a two week stay at the Raga Hotel on a B&B basis with sea view. We have stayed in other four star hotels in Funchal over the last few years so this is our review based on our experiences. Check in was quick and easy at 2pm and the male hotel receptionist... More

For the price it charges, you can't ask for much more! Rooms are huge, we even had 2 balconies. Rooms are very clean, personel very friendly. Breakfast is good and served on a very nice patio overlooking the sea. Perfect location to start exploring this beautiful island! Funchal is max 20 min on food, very pleasant walk. All in all... Hotel in good location. clean. Gym , if you can call it that has few apparatus. Needs to invest in some new towels, very thin and worn. Room cleaned everyday and fresh towels left. Good selection for buffet breakfast. Of the two barmen who worked there one was good the other not so, he never had any change or said... More

i was told if we had a room at the back of the hotel it would have to be higher than the 6th floor because of traffic and barking dogs, we were on the 10th floor and they still annoyed us, rooms were cleaned every day and bedding changed, beds very firm, reception staff ignorant, having a cuppa on the balcony...
