We have just returned from our holiday and a week staying in the Raga. This hotel is absolutely immaculate. Our room had a wonderful balcony with sea views. Breakfast is served in the dining room where you can sit outside and have great views of the sea. The breakfast itself is excellent with a good choice of bacon, scrambled eggs, boiled... more

I stayed in hotel Raga for 2 weeks in 2nd part of March 2009. It is very good hotel located in the center of main tourist area Lido. „ The Center” does not mean noise or crowd, but convenient location near all main tourist meeting ponts to start explore Madeira Island. Aerobus and other bus stations are very close. Raga... more

We traveled to this hotel in April 2008, wonderfully clean but no where near 4 Star status, it is a very high 3 star. No kettle or bar in rooms, the restaurant was a nightmare....tables all pushed together and you had to sit with strangers when they ran out of seperate tables. Trying to get your hands on your breakfast... more

Very nice corner room with two balconies, one facing sea and one at back. Smart clean and spacious room, great views and quiet. Service very good but breakfast lacks variation - on an island covered with bananas we never saw one or much fresh fruit at breakfast. Overall though would recommend this hotel. Location in Lido is good but a... more

Not a bad hotel but it isn't up to 4 star standard. It is clean and the staff are friendly. On our arrival we had to wait one and quarter hours for our room, not something i would expect from a 4 star hotel. The breakfasts were a disappointment, not enough choice or variation, but plentiful. As for the room... more

I stayed at the Hotel Raga for a week in mid-November 2008 on a half-board basis. I was in room 902 which faced westward towards the sea and provided an excellent view from the balcony. The hotel was renovated in late 2007 and it shows. The room was up to date, nicely furnished and had a full sized bathroom. The... more

We were very pleased with the Raga Hotel. The room was spacious, clean and stylishly decorated. We had twin beds, a desk with a mini-bar fridge, flat screen TV, desk chair and a couple of arm chairs. The balcony had chairs and a table and despite being at the back of the hotel, our balcony was on the corner so... more

We arrived back on 27/10 after a super week in Madeira, staying at the Raga. The weather was a pleasant suprise, warm and sunny every day in the Lido area of Funchal, though just a few miles down the road by the mountians it would be cloudier and cooler. The island flowers are past blooming now, but still plenty of... more

Great hotel. The rooms, pool and reception were all spotless,. Breakfast was good but exactly the same each day so no variety but there was enough choice that you could vary it yourself. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the food by the pool was really great and the service was excellent. The only minor niggle was the extremely... more
