I was in Madeira with my family in February 2008. We were I (18), my mom, father and two little sisters. We all loved the hotel. The rooms were clean, the stuff was great. Only bad thing to say about the hotel is that the shower in my & my sister's room was broken. It made an awfull noise whenever... more

We spent very nice week in this hotel and I was suprised, because I read some reviews on www.tripadvsor.com. Bathroom and room were cleaned, breakfast was adequated. Swimming pool was with clean water and surround too. Only reception's staff couldn´t advise about some street and gardens in Funchal. We left hotel early every morning, had only breakfast. more

We did not book this hotel but booked a sister hotel but due to a discrepancy we had to change to this hotel. The hotel was very clean and attractive, they took great care with the flowers inside the hotel and out. The showers in the room were lovely especially after a day's walking, one of the showers in one... more

We found the hotel a little tired .the quality of the rooms and bath rooms could do with a good referbishment. The staff could not have been more helpful, and a repair to our shower was carried out with in hours of our reporting it. It would unfair to critisise the hotel to much as we had a pleasant stay.If you do... more

This is the noisiest and dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Our room was the other side of a gents toilet and you could here the urinals being flushed. We had cockroaches in the room. The swimming pool area was dirty and a broken lamp in the pool had a jagged edge that got totally ignored by the maintenance... more

We stayed for 2 weeks at the hotel Dorisol Mimosa and although the reviews were not good to start with, we found the hotel clean and proper. The room was big with a kitchenette that help us a lot considering we have a 2 year old baby with us. We were on the 10th floor, therefore, the views were stunning.... more

The Hotel was very good, clean and the staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Only problem that we found was that they are building next door and could be noisy. We took my elderly mother with her wheelchair. We found it very hard going mostly everywhere on the island. The main part of Funchal wasn't too steep but... more

We have just returned from 3 weeks at the Mimosa and it has been a lovely holiday. I do think we made the right decision having B&B for 2 weeks and room only for the 3rd. There are so many good places to eat within a very short distance. We found our room very clean and tidy, the cooking facilities... more

The hotel is a thirty Euro taxi ride from the airport. It is also at the top of a steep drive that started on a steep hill and went up. Our room was higher still, being on the ninth floor of eleven. The lifts were good, if small. Our room was clean and of a fair size. It came with... more
