This hotel is great value for your money. The professionals are excellent, very friendly and cater to all your needs. The rooms are pleasant and have a stunning view from the verandas, as well as being well "insonorized". I will definitely repeat the experience, hopefully in the near future. Natasha O.

We returned last week after 3 weeks here. For what we had paid we didn't have high expectations but our main priority was getting away from the English weather. However,we were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is in a cupboard like a wardrobe so you can close it off if you want. I... More

Another wonderful relaxing week and the weather was lovely too! We like the rooms, they suit us. Many rooms have recently been renovated. Much of the hotel foyer and 'piano bar' have been renovated and the terrace bar is due for renovation. Large flat screen installed. Free wifi in foyer area very efficient. The hill is a problem if mobility... More

We took this as an extra sunshine holiday- 2 weeks B&B get 3rd week free room only. We had stayed at the Mimosa before and knew it was 3* and the rooms were small but like having the kitchen in a cupboard. We had a corner room with three beds so it was larger than the 2 bed room we... More

Our stay was pretty nice, the lady at the receptoin was really polite and nice, but it felt like that the other staff quite fed up with their jobs. The hotel was average or a little bit below, our room smelt like tobacco and we were missing one towel and a fork. The wifi reaches only the lobby and its... More

*You could skip this and go straight to the bottom for our opinion in short, Asked by staff if we would move down to sister Hotel from the one booked, at bottom of steep hill. Which we did assuming this would be better for my wife who has mobility problems. Found the room was very tired with worn carpet and... More

I take long-stay winter sun breaks to avoid the UK’s cold weather and I have thoroughly enjoyed Madeira’s warmth and sunshine and being well looked after at the Mimosa. I cannot agree with the previous reviewer that this hotel comprises ‘average accommodation.’ Of course, it isn’t luxury accommodation – in which connection, the 3-star rating must surely act as a... The accommodation quality corresponds to the price. The rooms was clean with small kitchen. The breakfast was OK but with small selection of food. There is WIFI in the reception and also around the swimming pool witch is situated next to the hotel.

we stayed in this hotel for 8 days, didn't book any meals, just accommodation. The room had a little kitchen with microwave where you can cook easy meals with no need to have lunch or dinner out every day. We were happy with the room. There is WIFI available in the reception and swimming pool areas, but it would be... More
