People in the reception were arrogant and downright rude to customers, and most of the time wouldn't even answer to greetings. Many of the hotel employees spoke English very poorly, and their solution seemed to be to act as though they hadn't noticed the customer talking to them. The rooms were clean, but a bit dated. We were staying in... More

We stayed in a studio apartment through RCI which was good value for the points we used. Had reservations if studio would be a bit 'confined' but no problem, it was a spacious room. Two single beds pushed together (beds comfortable but pillows hard!!), sofa, small kitchen and bathroom. It's all a bit dated and needs a refurb but was... More

1 bedroom apartment - bags of space. small but functional kitchen - only 2 electric hobs - not a bother as we sorted our own breakfasts in the room and ate out for all other meals. Excellent staff - rooms were tidied everyday. Good view over the sea. Nice pool area, but slightly envious of the other bigger resorts and... More

Our flight cancelled so we stayed one night in this hotel. Hotel rooms were nice, clean and there was good beds. Breakfast and dinner were good, but I never have drinked as bad coffee that they had in their coffee machine. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

We stayed in this hotel with a weeks timeshare in Studio 307 that’s at the front of the hotel, sea view is between two other hotels so not great, roadwork’s noise didn’t bother us to much, clean good size room we used the kitchen that came with it, I only class that as just adequate .We did not use the... What a terrible place. We have just returned after 4 days of hell in the Alto Lido. Road works are horrendous, from 8am until 8pm all day every day. Tarmacing machines JCB's and other heavy machinery right outside the hotel. There is no vehicle access to the hotel so you have to walk at least 500 mtrs from either end... More

We stayed in this hotel on a timeshare. The tariff was just €300 for seven nights for four of us. We frequently used the kitchen which came with the room. We did not use the hotel's dining service as there are excellent restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. The cleaning service is excellent and the staff is helpful and... More

This is a large hotel situated (as the name suggests) in an area known as the Lido area of Funchal. It is a 30/40 minutes easy paced downhill walk into the centre of town and close to the sea. Don't expect a beach nearby, there is a half hour walk to the nearest (black) sandy beach but there is a... More
