This is a lovely country house-style hotel with a pool. Our room was on the ground floor in the new extension with a view of the garden and pool. We were really lucky that most people there did not use the pool but went out walking. The staff were nice, especially the maid, and breakfast was great value and plentiful.... More

Small hotel with pleasant, helpful staff. Room was a very good size with views of garden and road that passed nearby (no problems with noise). There was a reasonable selection at breakfast time. If you don't like big hotels this is the one for you! It is a nice hotel in a nice setting with a pleasant breakfast/dining room. You have a good look over Funchal and the sea from this room. But it is some noise from the traffic. More

This was a lovley place to stay. We enjoyed the walk into Funchal through the parks. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and Reids Hotel is wonderful for an indulgent afternoon tea! Chose this hotel as we wanted to be nearer town centre, about 15 min walk. Asked for and got quiet room. Excellent staff, welcoming and friendly. Comfortable but rooms will require upgrading in future. Whilst standard of housekeeping was excellent there were some maintenance niggles which should have been put right. More
