This hotel is a little out of the centre but is ideal if you want a relaxed break. Staff, facilities, food, and rooms excellent and would thoroughly recommend it. The pool area is lovely and never seemed to get that crowded even though we had temperatures in the high 20's. A courtesy bus , from the hotel, runs regularly to... More

We can highly recommend this delightfully relaxed hotel which has something of a colonial appearance and ambience in extensive gardens. The room we had was large, comfortable and clean and the lounge area on the first floor offered a range of reading materials from magazines to paperbacks. Breakfast was excellent with fresh, dried and preserved fruits, cereals, cheeses, cold meats,... More

Stayed here for a long week end and couldn't fault anything from the moment we arrived and checked in to the minute we departarted the service was exceptional, The room was large and clean with views across the gardens, we had breakfast every morning which is a mix of english and continental, We also had dinner on 3 nights and... Well, our 3rd visit. This time in September. More people, weather warmer still-hot on a couple of days. Prefer the quieter time of Feb / March, but the weather can be more variable then. Not disappointing. Have in fact booked our 4th visit for Feb 15. That should say it all! As ever the standard of service is high. We had the... More

We went to Madeira with an open mind not knowing exactly what to expect and came back one week later after one of the best holidays we have experienced. The island of Madeira is full of pleasant surprises and gave us the opportunity to explore some interesting places both in Funchal and further afield. The icing on the cake was... More

This is an old fashioned quinta on the hill above Funchal. It is quiet and comfortable and was exactly what we wanted. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and were very accommodating. It is out of the town but the hotel does run a free... More

If you are looking for peace, quiet, relaxation and fabulous service then this is the hotel for you. We had a wonderful holiday at the Quinta Bela Vista (QBV). The staff were so friendly and genuinely aiming to please and to make our stay perfect. Many have apparently worked here for many years so must be happy in their job... More

This hotel is strongly recommended! It is superbly located in a big and very well kept garden. Very quiet, yet close to the city, and there is free transport from the hotel to Funchal. The staff is exceptionally friendly and service-minded. The outdoor swimming pool overlooks the bay of Funchal. Our best meals of the vacation were at the a... More
