Was delighted with this lovely little hotel, the staff are great, so helpful, they made our holiday always a cheery hello and never grumpy, when we arrived we were given a drink which was very welcome and every single request and did not actually have many were catered for. The rooms were clean and as everyone else states the location... More

Don't hesitate, just book it, you won't be disappointed. Good location near Old Town, Market and restaurants (and supermarket). Staff are exceptional. Rooms are clean and tidy. No, I'm not related to the owner!

I can honestly say that this well managed small hotel delivers on virtually all counts and the photos are not deceiving! The hotel is excellently placed, only 5-10 minutes walk from the centre of all restaurants and amenities in Funchal. A very reasonably priced hotel for its position, the quality of rooms and self-service breakfast and the friendly high quality... More

The bartenders need more training. Didn't mix good drinks at all and didn't seem to know what they were doing. The breakfast was disappointing to put it nicely. Wet soggy sausages, only one kind of yogurt (and it tasted sour), sour milk that had gone bad, overcooked hard boiled eggs. No real healthy breakfast options. Would be nice if they... More

Great location between the old and new parts of the city center, everything is in walking distance! Good, clean and spacious rooms. No air-conditioning, but didn't miss it due to a powerful fan in the room. Nice rooftop terrace and swimming pool. Breakfast is very complete and tasty (only downside: the coffee from the machine is very weak). The staff... More

This is a good hotel in a good location for exploring Funchal, walking distance from shops and places to eat. Nice, friendly staff. Didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel as we were out exploring, but ideal and easy to walk back to from the town and have a comfortable nights sleep

Friendly, cheerful and helpful staff, mix up with our room on arrival, no fault of the hotel, this was sorted immediately and we could go to the room even though check in wasn't until 2.00. The rooms are cleaned everyday, had a tele so not sure why people are bothered about having wifi in room? I didn't mind going the... More

We have stayed on this hotel some years, and of course there is a clear reason for this. The most important cause is the very gently and nice staff, who really wants the best for their guests. Also we want to credit the cleanliness in the rooms. Our more negative reflections may some people find a little pedantic, but they... More

This hotel has everything if you want nearness to the city, spacious rooms (with or without balcony), good beds, swimming pool (on the roof). Breakfast buffet is better than average, and the staff i very helpful (they all speak english). Only thing missing is wifi in the rooms, you have to go to the lobby or the bar to experience... More
