lovely pool area & gardens. staff very helpful . lots of restaurants & pubs nearby so no need to go into Funchal centre after a day sightseeing. Lovely scenery & great tours. there is a travel agency right next to the hotel & they are excellent. we had a wonderful guide called Roberto.
