There probably will not be a Rolls to chauffeur in the guests. The "Rolls" comes in other ways. Premium rooms are spacious, comfortable, well serviced and very clean. The additional balcony space is also spacious and so welcome [when the weather allows]. To give a small detail, the cotton linens - bed, dining table - are top quality. The manager's... More

This is a very well run hotel. It is in a lovely setting. The staff are very friendly and also professional in their approach. The rooms are roomy and well appointed. The restaurant is excellent, so much so that we ended up eating there every night of our 6 night stay. The food was imaginative and the atmosphere delightful.

The beautiful gardens create a perfect setting for the contemporary design of the buildings. This combination provides a unique atmosphere of tranquility and privacy. It is in contrast to so many of the big high rise blocks of hotels in Funchal. The position is within easy walking distance to the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is in it's own beautifully kept grounds. It's tranquil and calming. The staff are all excellent. The food very good and the rooms well-appointed. It's just lovely to open the patio doors of your room straight onto the garden. It's not cheap but definitely worth the money.

We stayed at at the Quinta Casa Da Branca for a week and found it to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The location is off a busy road. However as soon as you arrive at the hotel it is very peaceful and set in the most beautiful botanical gardens. We had a Premium Room... More

We stayed here for a short break in March. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern with lots of slate and glass and surrounds some really well kept gardens. The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We were lucky enough to be upgraded but all the... More

Stayed for a week as a couple in standard rooms in original block, where all rooms identical on ground floor and with own green area. Rooms are large and better than most premium rooms elsewhere. Nothing but praise for hotel and staff and would stay again. A couple of points to add to other reviews: Bus stop for Funchal Centre... More

The hotel is in a good location approx 25 minutes walk (downhill) into the City (Cathedral area) and 10 minutes from the 'hotel district' and nearest restaurants. Great selection at breakfast - especially enjoyed the fresh fruits. Ate in the hotel restaurant one evening which had a lovely ambience with well presented, good food. However, we did pay far more... I knew it was going to be a lovely week when my husband said he felt relaxed after 15 minutes at this peaceful hotel. Interesting architecture, tranquil public rooms, beautiful view from Deck Bar especially the twinkling lights of Funchal at night. We had a second floor room in " The Black building ". My only criticism from our room... More
