Stayed here in Jan 2012 for 1 week - modern, clean and LARGE room with balcony. Nice Furniture. Staff attentive - although management presence sparse - due to out of season? But.. champagne, cake and spa voucher sent to room for special occasion (unprompted) so they must be doing something right?! Longish walk to Funchal (25min each way) but taxi/... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this hotel on half board. I am a vegetarian and the buffet dinner was not conducive to my dietary needs but this was most agreeably addressed by Antonio and Norberto to whom I thank. We had a tenth floor room with impressive panoramic views of the sea and immediate coastline, we... More

We have visited this hotel a number of times and standards are still excellent. Reception was efficient and helpful. The rooms are spacious and quiet, and the bed ensured an excellent nights sleep. The maid service is as good as it gets - never intrusive and the rooms left spotless. Breakfast was a really good selection of hot and cold food... More

This hotel is superb and i would really compliment the pool area as there is a number of beutiful and relaxing pool areas. The spa was also great! There were many fantastic restaurants with a choice of a couple within the hotel and a bar so plenty of choice for dinner. Good hotel and great location! More

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Madeira and stayed at this super hotel. It was ideally placed for getting into Funchal and was excellant in every way. The rooms and en-suite bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean, along with a balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It had all the facilities anyone would need, along... More

The hotel has a great location, near plenty of restaurants and from walking distance to the city centre. It has free car parking. The facilities are very good, the rooms are large, great breakfast with good staff, 5* SPA, great swimming pools (sea water) excellent for kids, you also have direct access to the sea. Reception service was excellent always... More

Stayed here in February. One of the towers was closed and the other tower can't have been full as rarely saw anyone except at breakfast, so we found it lacked atmosphere as the public areas are so huge. Good points- great location, pool area excellent with plenty of space and comfortable sunbeds. Room was spacious with good storage space, plenty... More

I've just returned from 1 week break in CS Madeira. Our room (322) on third floor was spacious, comfortable, good eqiupped. Every day cleaning was ok, not best ever seen but good enough to feel free to walk barefoot. We've been travelling with small baby and we've ordered infant crib which was ok but in january sometimes we needed something... More

Just back from 2 weeks in the CS Atlantic. Our room should have been side sea view but we were upgraded by the always friendly reception staff.Thomas Cook offer the side sea view rooms on the first 3 floors(which are below reception, which is on the 4th floor) and they are overlooking the garden area and over- shadowed by tall trees... Have just returned from a week at the hotel - warm greeting on arrival with very good reception staff - room well equipped (had booked a suite which was very nice but disappointing that there is no seperate shower cubicle, is just over the bath) The evening buffet was really not up to scratch with both of us being vegetarian...
